I choose this hotel because it has. A beautiful location and landscape. Staff was not always available and it did not cater for the need of its guests. Bathroom had issue, nothing included in price , no internet no food no drop at airport. Disappointed staff looks at you puzzled when ask for certain things especially in restaurants.
This place is like animal house. They keep the bar open until midnight and all of the rooms are open to the bar. It's extremely loud, people clapping and it's like you're in the bar with them. I have no idea why they keep the bar open until midnight on a Wednesday. Do yourself a favor and stay across the street at Embassay Suites, you'll thank me later.
Booked my family and friends into the Griffin Gate Marriott. The hotel is lovely after a big renovation that recently completed. My guests loved the facility. Did not hear any complaints. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful stay!
As a longtime Marriott (now Bonvey) member, I’ve seldom felt the need to write a less than stellar review for a property. I’m doing so now in the hope that management will consider improvements. My daughter and I stayed 4 nights to attend the Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event. Driving up from Louisiana, we spent literally hours attempting to get information about our stay. Online chat garnered no response. The automated response to phone calls yielded hang ups, endless on hold time and a circular loop of calls to various areas (front desk, restaurant, spa) that never reached a person willing to even listen to the question. We checked in online and stayed in room 549. Unfortunately, it didn’t get better at the hotel. We’re fine with carrying our own luggage, but never found a cart, parking attendant or hotel employee to assist in any way. Mobile keys did not function, and we got key cards eventually. The restaurant in the lobby will not take phone orders, requiring guests to shoulder shove in a crowded bar for food, and we never saw a host or hostess. There is a coffee shop in the lobby, open only in the morning, and they sell a limited menu of Starbucks products. Baristas were overwhelmed and discourteous. We had no housekeeping Friday, for which an apology note was slipped under our door. We’ve stayed in Marriotts through the past couple of years and can clean after ourselves, but the bath soap dispenser was empty upon our arrival and there were blood stains on several pillows. There was cleaning Saturday, but they returned stained pillows to the bed and left the shower gel empty. Summarily, the hotel was clearly understaffed for the weekend, and guests paid the price. We love the LRK3DE, and we are planning next year’s visit, but sadly, at this time, we cannot include this property in our plans.…
This is a great hotel with wonderful service. The staff at this hotel goes the extra mile to please you and are extremely friendly. Very clean hotel and great bar. The hotel is updated and the rooms are very clean. This is a quiet hotel that has a wonderful staff Great place to stay. Will definitely be back.
Good location for our Safe Tech convention. Nice property, bed comfortable. A little pricey for my taste but overall a decent value. Room was quiet. Would stay here again. Wish the hotel offered and airport shuttle, the one they recommended was too expensive.
The hotel lobby area and bar are very nice with lots of cozy spots to curl up with a cocktail and a book. Food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the beer cheese appetizer, wedge salad and steak sandwich. All were delightful! My only complaints are the rooms are small and the poll/hot tub area was disgusting. The hot tub was filthy around the edges and there were patches of mold on the concrete from standing water. Yuk! It all needs a good bleaching!!
Beware of AC issues. Quite a few in our group had very warm rooms despite adjusting the temps on the thermostat. Mine was set for 66 but it was humid and felt more like low 70s. Another in our party said temp never got below 78. This made for uncomfortable sleep. The staff were very nice and there are lots of places to sit and enjoy conversation. The renovation showed signs of subpar contractor work with spilled paint, faucets placed crooked, etc. also beware of the resort fee. Clean hotel otherwise.
Check in was great, staff was super friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Restaurant on site has really good food. It appears that they just completed a very large renovation and that the works done was sub par. Just little things like most likely will not affect your stay. The shower facet was dripping and needed some maintenance work. Many spaces to sit and enjoy throughout the hotel. Spa services but not available in evenings or early morning so wasn’t able to enjoy. Very pretty property and good location. Doesn’t have free Wi-Fi but if you sign up for rewards, which is free you can use it.
OK - this hotel apparently went through a huge renovation that was completed in Nov 2021. We stayed over the Christmas holiday visiting family. We got a King room with a large balcony. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. But the finishes/final touches we just off. Not sure who was doing the flooring or the trim work but if my contractor did that type of work I would want it redone. The bulb in my bedside table was also missing. The balcony outside was HUGE but the door was so hard to open my wife couldn't do it. So the rooms were upgraded but the windows and doors were not touched - at least in our room. It was very windy Christmas eve night and you could hear the wind howl through the window. Also - as the layout of the hotel has a lot of open space it can get quite loud - even on the 5th floor. Positives were the hotel staff. They were more then accommodating, the restaurant had good food and service as well. I would imagine this would be a fun place to go and golf or attend a wedding etc.…
