Nice location and atmosphere. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Rooms are clean but aged - peeling paint, cracks, etc. After a very poor service provided by an unfriendly server, I decided to give up breakfast included with my reservation (HH Diamond) and ate off property during my stay. I would not stay at this property again and would not recommend it to a family member and/or friend.

Upon arrival, the beauty of the outside of the building had inviting touches such as an outdoor gathering area, a beautiful lobby, and a spacious lounge. Then we saw the carpets and the rooms. While clean (sort of) there was a lot of wear in the rooms. If they could put some money towards the property I believe it would warrant the price. The hotel has been added on to over the years so it's maze-like. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I have basic expectations when it comes to housekeeping during this pandemic so I know they were doing the best they could. Sadly, I would not recommend this a multiple-night stay. There are too many competitive hotels nearby that are clean and consistent.

This hotel is ideal for an event or where you do not plan to spend a lot of time in your hotel room.

The Pros: The event and main spaces are beautiful and well maintained. The gym is fabulous as well, but could use sets of light weight for those doing toning work outs. The location is great and about a 15 minutes drive to everything.

The Cons: The rooms are incredibly small and the bathrooms are tiny. Our room had chipped tile in the bathroom, water damage on the ceiling, screws coming out of the door handle, and the toilet rocked when you sat on it. As a petite person, this was pretty unsettling. The staff is not the best and getting to our room was challenging. There is also very little noise cancellation between rooms.

Overall, would only recommend staying here for one night or if you are attending an event on the property. Otherwise, you'd likely have a nicer experience somewhere else.

Our experience at the Campbell House Lexington was very disappointing. When we arrived in our room we found that there was only 1 set of towels, and 1 roll of toilet paper, the bathroom was large but had an ugly wire-rack for the only counter-space in the room. There were exposed light bulbs in the bathroom that were obviously missing a cover. The floor in the room and bathroom was not properly cleaned, and small items from the previous occupants were still on the floor.

After booking this hotel a few months prior, we had checked the floor plan of the hotel and saw that there was a pool. Our children were very excited to swim In a nice pool in a fancy hotel. When we went looking for the pool, we couldn’t find it even though it was still marked on the hotel floor plan. When we asked the front desk, they informed us that the pool was removed 2+ years ago. We asked to speak to a manager to voice our frustration that there was false advertising about a pool, and were informed that they would be available to speak to the next morning.

The next morning, when we spoke to the front desk, they informed us that management was not available to speak to, but they would speak to management on our behalf once they arrived and would “see what they could do”. While there was nothing directly on the hotel website regarding a pool, since it was on the floor plan, we assumed it was just a mistake on the website. After our

Our overall experience with the Campbell House Lexington was one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a Hilton brand hotel, and we would recommend any other hotel in the area over this one. For $175+/night one would expect a great experience, the staff, cleanliness, and overall modernity of the hotel fell far below expectations.

Curio hotels are unique. Each one is different, so you’re surprised each time by the specific layout. They’re beautiful! This one was no exception.

What we liked:
1. Great , friendly, and helpful staff!
2. Beautiful facility! Charming character!
3. Clean and comfortable rooms!
4. Exceptional breakfast!
5. Great price!

What we didn’t like:
1. The bathroom was a little small. The towels were on a shelf in the shower, so we moved them to the closet area. There wasn’t much space to put cosmetic bags, but it really wasn’t that big an issue.
2. The room appeared to have had a sofa at one time (and it certainly had the room for it) but there was just one chair.

These were minor issues, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we’re ever in the area!

When I arrived I used the digital check in and the digital key was not working and the front desk staff did not offer to bring me physical keys I had to carry all of my luggage back through the hotel with me to retrieve a key. The commode was loose from the floor and there was some kind of sand or dirt in the carpet in front of the mini fridge. The bathroom door had some strange long hairs attached to it and the bathtub had some what appeared to be pubic hairs on the side edge, very nasty and disgusting. The sofa had something smeared on it so I had to clean it with sanitize wipes before I could use it. This was definitely not what I expected and may never stay at a Curio Collection hotel again. Also the room was booked for three guests and there were only two sets of towels and wash cloths once again I had to trek to the front desk in order to retrieve another set. I normally would have eaten dinner in the hotel's restaurant but I had so many misfortunes I chose to have my dinner from the Cheese Cake Factory instead.

My husband and I made a reservation to stay here for our wedding anniversary. After many weeks at home we were looking forward to a weekend away. After driving over 3 hours we arrived at 8:30pm to be told that they did not have a room for us due to a fire, water damage & housekeeping staff quitting. They told us all other Hilton brand hotels were booked for the weekend. We were asked if we were Marriott members because we could stay at the Marriott downtown. We asked if Hilton would be covering our stay at the Marriott which was more expensive, we were not able to use points & would have to pay for parking. We were told a manager would contact us, which still has not happened. With both my husband and I being diamond Hilton Honors members we expected more from a Hilton brand hotel to make up for this situation somehow. I would not recommend this hotel based on the lackluster service and clearly not being able to appropriately run a business.

There are times that things happen that are out of our control and we can’t fulfill our commitment. Even with that said his should never happen to one of our Diamond Members. Our stay started fine checking the in after a day at Keeneland that was as all good but the rain shower. We were given the Secretariat Suite in the front facing Mason Headley. The rooms were large but the restroom was tiny. There were no plugs or charging on the left side of the bed. The restroom door was disintegrating and wood work rotted. The glass shelf in the restroom was chipped and sharp. The breakfast was $18 per person with a credit of $15 per person as Diamond members noting breakfast was included with my stay on the AP. The AP also allowed for the upgrade of the suite for an additional $45 day but we were charged the full rate until I complained and was credited the difference by an astute clerk. The room was noisy with the fire station down the street going off all hours. We tried to get desert in the bar the first two nights but all of our choices were out, so we brought custard into the fireplace area from down the street the third night and a staff member brought and set a placard next to us noting no outside food or drink were allowed. The bed we slept in for three nights at a Curio Hilton property was the worst hotel bed I have ever slept on. I filled out the emailed Hilton service survey with some of my misgivings and Gary the manager wrote his apologies. The morning desk person seemed the only person there that cared about service as she should be commended. This place looks like upkeep is a continuous problem that needs in-depth attention to detail for the prices charged. We were not very happy with our stay and could not recommend this property.

While the restaurant and conference area of this hotel are beautiful and newly renovated, the rest of the hotel is dated. Our room had been updated with nicer furniture but it was obvious that paint was carelessly put on the walls to cover damage and wear and it looked awful. A hotel with the history and charm of this one would be expected to go the extra mile and do it right. The room was also very small as was the bathroom. For the cost of this hotel it should have been a much nicer experience than it was. We also paid extra to have breakfast included in our stay. This was such a waste! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There is no hot breakfast. Instead there is a small section beside the bar where you can choose from pastries or have a premade, packaged sandwich heated up. It was not good. And we had $30 credit so bottled waters and chips served as snacks for later. You would be much better off to use that $30 and go to First Watch down the street for a much better breakfast experience!!! Overall, this hotel was way overpriced for what it is. I will say that if we were having an event where our guests were not staying over, I would absolutely consider the conference space because that part is beautiful. But there are many nicer hotels at a lower price point in the area that I would recommend over this one for an overnight stay.

My husband and I decided to head to Kentucky for a long weekend spent on the Bourbon Trail. The delightful Campbell House was our last stay and it was absolutely a perfect way to end our trip. Our room was extremely spacious (over 400 sf), we were given a $30 food/drink credit - which we used in their very comfortable dining/bar area. The fitness center was spacious, super clean, and the selection was varied. The staff were friendly and accomodating. There was nothing we didn't like about this place...except leaving after only one night!
