Very nice, clean, comfortable hotel with a friendly, accommodating staff. We will definitely stay here again. Excellent value. Breakfast is provided with room, but there is no restaurant on site and it's a few miles into town and restaurants. We will return.

This is definitely not the worst place we've ever stayed, but I wouldn't stay here again. My husband is a contractor that travels often. This Quality Inn was close to Domtar Paper where he had to work for the week. My husband reserved the room on the app with no issues. He said he could have sworn it said two queen beds, but turns out they were full (double) beds. His mistake on that one but be aware that the beds are full instead of queen. Despite the tiny size of the bed, it slept quite comfortably, however our kids said theirs was hard and uncomfortable compared to ours. The main problem with our room was the awful chemical smell. Apparently they have an issue with bugs as there were sticky traps on either side of most doors leading to the exterior of the building with plenty of bugs stuck on them. I have to assume they sprayed the room with an insecticide and it was so strong it made us feel like we were suffocating. We were only able to stand it for one night (even after leaving the window open) so we cancelled our reservations for the following nights and found a place in Owensboro. It was further for my husband to drive each day to work, but it was worth the drive in our opinion. We had restaurants and things to do with the kids. (Fabulous playground in Owensboro by the way.) The lady at the front desk was very helpful with our check in and early check out at the Quality Inn and promptly refunded our credit card for the nights we had reserved. The breakfast was decent and was kept refilled. We have dietary restrictions so we only ate the sausage and scrambled eggs. The sausage was good and the eggs were okay for what I'm sure were powdered. The coffee was excellent. There's no waffle maker, but they have a pancake machine. The lady that tended to breakfast was pleasant and stayed busy throughout the rest of the day with other jobs. While we were in the room with the window open, we kept smelling cigarette smoke. Turns out it was this lady walking back and forth to the trash dump. The smoke and chemical smells didn't pair well. Anyway, the t.v. worked well and had lots of channels to choose from. I also liked that the sink was located outside of the bathroom. The water was nice and hot in the shower and we had plenty of it. Unfortunately, the drain in the shower was broken and the shower looked kind of grimy. The toilet had urine on it from previous guests. Eww. There were also dead bugs around the edges of the room and bathroom. The door to the exterior near our room was supposed to require a key card to open, but it stayed unlocked the entire time. Not very safe. If it hadn't been for the chemical smell in the room and the full sized beds (no I didn't deduct a star for that as that was our mistake) we would have probably stayed. The location was convenient for my husband and I actually like that it was located out in the middle of nowhere. (Apparently they stay booked most of the time due to location.) The view of the cornfield out back and the wind rustling through the stalks was soothing to this country girl's soul. ~ Too long didn't read: + Positives: decent breakfast that stayed refilled, pancake machine, one comfortable bed, plenty of hot water in shower, sink located outside of the bathroom, t.v. worked great and had ample channels to choose from, nice about issuing refund for reserved nights, promptly refunded, location. - Negatives: Horrible chemical smell, bug issue, grimy bathroom, exterior doors not securely locked, one uncomfortable bed, bed size is full (double) instead of queen, no waffle maker. ~Summary: I'd pass on this one next time and stay in Owensboro.

I accompanied my family to a fun filled day at near-by Holiday World in Santa Claus Indiana. As a group we had reserved 3 rooms each with a king sized bed. The other two groups checked into their respective rooms without incident. There were multiple issues with getting to my room that if handled differently could be looked past. When I gained access to my room, I was surprised to find all the lights and the TV on, the shower had recently been used, there was a damp towel on the bed, mostly finished bottle of coke on the night stand, and the wrapper of a cigarette box on the desk. The room was very obviously being used by someone other than me. Fortunately my would-be cohabitant was not there when I entered. I returned to the desk and was put into another room. Herein lies the issues. While checking out, I spoke with the man at the desk that I presume to be the owner/operator about what happened in an attempt to give him the opportunity to do some service recovery. I was not looking for a refund or any kind of compensation for this experience, I just wanted some reassurance that they were aware of the situation and would work to make sure this did not happen to someone else. The gentleman's response was "there was a mistake last night, but we put you in a different room so its ok." This indicates to me that the ownership doesn't see the security connected with improperly keeping track of who's in what room and that is why I would encourage travelers to stay at a different location.

As the title suggests, there are no other hotels in this town (or close by), but they do not take advantage of the traveler with their prices. The hotel is neat and clean, nicely priced, good breakfast, fast service. Our room was very comfortable and felt "new". Good comfortable beds, too. We were very satisfied, especially since there was no other choice and it was late. Very nice stay.

I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. I liked the pillows also. The maids did not wake me up to clean the room because i worked nights and slept during the day. The morning breakfast is Ok. I would stay here again.
