My stay was pretty amazing. I was up at 5am every morning, cup of coffee in a handmade stone mug, sitting in a rocker on the back porch of the cabin which was nestled at the foot of a mountain, to watch the sunrise behind it. The sun lit up the ridge-line like the trees were on fire. I went... More

The story of Snug Hollow has been written over the years with equal parts American resilience, Appalachian resourcefulness, Kentucky tradition and genuine Southern Hospitality. Snug hollow was more than we imagined. It was our honeymoon and we could not have chosen a better place. We rented the cabin by the stream which was beautiful with a rustic feel. Meals were... More

What a great place, good food, beautiful surroundings, fun road, fun for kids. The main house was neat as was the cabin. Host and her staff are great and really care about what they do. No phone reception which was a relief. Only regret was we wish we could have explored more of the woods in our limited time there.

What can you say.....beautiful scenery, wonderful cabin, comfy beds, yummy food, great hosts, relaxation to the utmost. This was my second stay and I believe it surpassed the first. A perfect spot for a sister trip. Barbara could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Our meals were so good and it was so nice to spend one with Barbara... More

Snug Hollow is such a special and wonderful place. Barb is lovely and there is nothing not to love about the experience of staying here. You'll have wonderful dinners on the porch, beautiful walks and a lovely room to sleep in at night. There really isn't much else to say other than the fact that this place is a true... More

It is such a beautiful place to be. So quiet and away from everything. The fall or spring would be the ideal time to go. It is on 300 acres and plenty of area to roam. Gardena and a butterfly garden are beautiful places to visit.

Lunch date with friends, food was awesome-very filing without being heavy. Atmosphere took me back to my memories of much younger days. Hope to get to go for a weekend and enjoy the cabin life. Will be back again!

This was our first trip staying at a bed and breakfast. We were only able to stay one night, but had a wonderful time and hope to return. The staff was very welcoming, the food was delicious, the cabin was comfortable and very romantic and Barbara was just as we had imagined... a wonderful host and a down-to-earth like-minded individual... From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle we experienced the calm and serenity of this refuge from the maddening crowd. Barbara and her considerably skilled staff provided my wife and I three days of delicious vegetarian breakfasts and dinners accompanied with soothing Pandora music selections. We slept in the "Sweetie" in the main house and enjoyed playing cribbage... More

The location of this B&B is remote. The last few miles are quite a bumpy ride. We arrived to the main house and met Barbara, the innkeeper who's very welcoming and nice. The house is charming with log walls and country style decor. We were guided to our cabin which was fairly new. A large and welcoming sort of place... More

hello Chiggers are a thing to be reckoned with in Kentucky this time of year. So very sorry, despite our best efforts they got you. You are right that long pants, shirts and more are important and you missed our detailed warning and instructions. We live in the woods and keep the trails mowed but we still have chiggers, bugs,...
