Our family usually visits Shaker atleast once a month. There is always something going on. Their Easter egg hunt is always fun and there is no fear of little ones getting run over by the older children. Food trucks and the resteraunt are always good.

Stayed overnight so had Dinner & Breakfast. Reservations essential. Good simple cooking and nice service. Was a good mid trip stopover. Not the largest menu but the food tasted good and ambiance was very nice.

Spent one night in a double-bedded room in the East Family building. So very clean! The mattresses were firm and with very crisp sheets. The room was well cooled via the in room AC. The bathroom was adequate in size and stocked with natural soaps and shampoos (bee derived). The windows looked out over the lovely grounds. The restaurant serves...

My husband and I stayed for two nights on Easter weekend as a reprieve from caregiving for his mother with advanced Alzheimer's. We stayed in the Old Stone Shop. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We ate at The Trustee's Table for breakfast and dinner where we had wonderful service and delicious food. Check-in was quick...

We decided on this location because it's just two hours from home and looked interesting. We stayed in the East Family Dwelling. Our room was large, clean, and comfy. It was also peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed walking around and touring the village. The food was a bit pricey. I would suggest going into Harrodsburg where there are a lot of...

For the past 24 years, we have had a professional meeting at Shaker Village. We keep going back for a simple reason: It is unique, restful and beautiful. It is a beautiful, bucolic setting with green fields, woods, wonderful restored buildings. The quiet setting is disturbed only by occasional farm animals sounding like they do. The dining room is in...

The village is very well maintained and a great place to hike along the river. There is also a riverboat cruise. Food is a little pricey but not many options close by unless you go to Danville. I'm a local person so I probably don't appreciate the beauty like I should. A drive along 68 is great in the fall.

This place is a snapshot in time! You can just walk around if you want, also a guided tour if you want. They have a great restaurant, and hotel if you would want to stay the night. You should check it!
