Unlike a lot of patrons I'm not a passing visitor. Instead I frequent this pub every time I'm in the area , or even go out of my way to visit , usually on a Sunday. A few years ago a group of ladies took this pub on and turned it around. The Menu was expansive and the prices were...

We visited on Saturday 25th with a number of family and friends to celebrate my father in laws 70th birthday. We arrived on the Severn valley railway, which was a nice treat.Highley station is only a minute walk away. We were in our own side room and had our own waitress due to the size of the party. The food...

We'd heard such great things about this place that we decided to have a Saturday afternoon lunch here with all the family for Mothers Day weekend. The service was shocking! We had to wait over an hour for our starters, and one of our party had to wait for nearly two hours for their main course - whilst the rest...

We have just spent 3 lovely nights here. The staff were lovely especially Becky one of the waitress. Food very nice and plenty. The cod and chips was more of a whale and chips. The Calvary on Sunday was plentiful. The room was very nice even though my husband had to watch his head as in the attic, but wouldn't...

Must be honest, I really don't understand some peoples expectations .... re:3 star review written 3 weeks ago ..... Agreed, if the weather is not good it may not be the best place in the world to be BUT ...! Can't see how it would be the B & B's fault. Stayed here for 2 nights in Mid March, from...

The location is very attractive and is especially convenient for Severn Railway travellers. Unfortunately, my vegetable lasagne was a "splodge" on the plate and the garlic bread was burnt. We were also expecting a mature cheddar cheese bagette with red onion but it was most definitely not a bagette but appeared to be a stale substitute. The cheese was of...

A party of 12 from the Black Country MG Owners club turned up for Sunday lunch following a 2.5 mile walk from Seven Valley Country Park visitor centre. The hosts quickly opened up the conservatory for us and processed our varied orders without fuss. After a reasonable amount of time our freshly cooked meals arrived. 6 of us had Sunday...

Enjoyed two days here on a Wowcher deal, so very good value. Lovely quiet location next to river and steam railway. Room clean, staff hard working and friendly. Is a bit remote, but ideal for anglers or train enthusiasts. We enjoyed the curry night (as vegetarians, there was a good selection - would have preferred to see meat/veg serving utensils...

We have just spent a weekend at the Ship & have had a wonderful time. The setting is superb, if you were any closer to the river, you'd get wet !! The welcome was warm, the room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean & with lots of attention to detail. Out of the window there were views of the river and...
