This review is very rare for me as I love giving good reviews. However, when you read the story I am sure you will understand. We had booked a special night away and decided to book here. After all the excitement of the day finally coming when we could put the pressures of covid down we drove three hours. One hour before we arrived the hotel called to cancel the room owing to a leakage in the bathroom. The only option for a way cheaper room not in the hotel only just in the grounds next to the main road. We had come for a spa break and were paying £200 plus to be offered a room at £75. The trouble is with covid all the other spas were fully booked, no time to find anything else and all our plans ruined. These things happen but I was so disappointed that the hotel could not help us replan and call the other spa hotels to take the problem away from us. It was left totally with us to fix. Now in the end we couldn’t get a spa hotel so went to a smaller cosy hotel and still rushed to the original hotel to use the spa. The relaxation turned into a horror show. The review is not that it happened, but that with less than an hours notice this was just dumped on us to fix which frankly at the price we were paying felt .... unreasonable. Thanks for letting us use the spa but really it was not the experience we craved.

My partner and I went to the Greenway Spa as a birthday surprise. My massage was wonderful but the spa is not good value for money. You only get 1 hour in the pool with nothing else to do as everywhere is closed. You are then allocated 15 minutes in the hot tub which was too hot for guests to get into we managed 7 minutes that was tough going! With all the time management you couldn’t relax. They charged for use of their tiny gym for my partner whilst I had a massage which I thought was disgusting considering all other facilities are closed and time controlled. Not worth the cost. I would avoid until restrictions relax in the future. Afternoon tea however was lovely in the main hotel, much better location than the brasserie. I wouldn’t revisit the spa again I think hoar cross hall and moddershall oaks are better value

I booked into the hotel for 5 days for a virtual conference that was being run on US EST time, so very antisocial hours in the UK. I explained to staff beforehand that I'd have some specific needs ref a quiet location, plenty of space, was bringing a dog for company, odd mealtimes, and so forth. Not only did they carry forward all of the requests impeccably when i was there, they went out of their way, every single member of staff, to make me feel welcome, and help me to adjust and get the best out of their facilities and my time at the conference. And they made Bobby feel hugely welcome too. I literally felt like it was a home from home which is just what i wanted after a long 15 hour work day. Plus, the room (i had a suite for space to work) was gorgeous, with lovely dark curtains for sleeping through the morning, comfy furniture and good facilities (a couple more drawers for clothes was the only thing i would have added). The restaurant went out of their way to keep my meals interesting and time appropriate. The grounds were the most wonderful escape whenever we had a quick break and the spa was a fantastic relaxation before each day started. I really can't praise them highly enough and plan to bring my husband back as soon as possible to share in the lovely atmosphere they create. Thank you.

Myself and my partner have just come home from staying at the Greenway hotel for the weekend. I booked this as a present for my partner, and took our dog with us. After searching for a suitable dog friendly hotel online, the Greenway seemed to be the best place - unfortunately this was not the case. Our room was on the top floor above the Spa, the room itself was beautiful, large and immaculate. However, the accessibility of the room in taking a dog was not ideal at all, having to go down two flights of stairs and walking through the main hotel to get to the grounds in the middle of the night when the dog needed to go out was not ideal. Also, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was that online they sold the idea that your dog receives a welcome pack, with treats and toys to make this special for them too - we did not receive any of this on arrival or throughout our stay. All we had was a large bed that he couldn’t sleep in as he is very small (they didn’t check what size we needed) and a water bowl without any water. The grounds were beautiful and great for our dog, however there was not one dog little bin around the grounds or within the vicinity of the hotel which caused major issues. Our room was not cleaned during our stay, which is understandable due to COVID, but when you have a dog friendly room, with no one changing your bins or no waste bins around, it makes it very difficult to dispose of waste/ toilet mats etc. Also, we were not provided with any clean towels, we had to complain to receive clean towels. Furthermore, I booked this hotel for its Spa facilities, and when we went to use the pool we were told that we had to pay £15 EACH to swim for just 45 minutes.. after paying over £500 for 2 nights it is an absolute rip off. After my partner complained, they gave us free access to the pool which was appreciated but again only for 45 minutes. We were told there would be robes and slippers in our room on arrival, yet there was nothing and was not provided with any during our stay. All in all, I really regret staying here and wouldn’t recommend it if you are travelling with a dog; I think there are so many choices to stay in the Cotswolds, we would have been better off paying half the price and staying in an Air BNB as the expensive price we paid for the hotel had no service to us, we didn’t feel that the hotel benefited us in any way.

Visited with my daughter as we couldn't get abroad. Would recommend, great location, very picturesque hotel and surroundings. Managing to bring some normality during difficult times. Connie was very helpful to us. I would like to go again as we couldn't get in the restaurant, a good sign! The breakfasts were excellent quality so I am sure the restaurant is a treat. Spa is very nice and treatment was lovely, a little restricted for obvious reasons but Handled well.
