Ashford Acres Inn is a fairly recently restored historical home with old hardwood floors that still creak. Huge bedroom with sofa, king size bed, small dining table with chairs and other furniture including flat screen TV and WiFI. Speaking of the bed, one of the best, just like home. The bathroom was updated and modern, we enjoyed the large shower. The staff was friendly and strive to meet all our needs. They were preparing for a wedding, the day we left. Perfect spot for wedding as they the property is setup to handle a romantic gathering.
We are just finishing a four night stay at Ashford Acres and wishing we didn't have to go home. The Inn is lovely--a restored historical home that respects its heritage but also provides every modern amenity. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms are modern and luxurious, and the daily breakfasts are a treat to look forward to. Best of all, though, is the friendly and accommodating management team and staff. They bend over backward to ensure that every guest need is met and exceeded. Located in historic Cynthiana only an hour outside Lexington, this Inn is the perfect home base for anyone exploring the beauty of this area.
Where do I begin..... My husband has never stayed at a B & B and I was determined to make him a believer. This was an anniversary stay and 4 day visit to Kentucky. The mission was accomplished!!!! This home is the most beautifully updated B & B I’ve ever visited. The amount of detail and design to keep the integrity of this historic home and to give a wonderful experience to the guest is amazing. The home is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings all while keeping the walls clean, bright and airy. It’s not kept like an over the top antiquish museum. It’s just very romantic! They also have a beautiful event barn to host weddings! So well planned. Anastasia the Inn Manager prepared a beautiful dinner I had requested for our anniversary that day. It was just perfect in every way from the presentation, to taste, to the dining room, the music etc. We stayed in the garden suite. Wow! What a beautiful cottage. Just a beautiful setting. The grounds set this place apart from all other B & B’s. It’s a 40 plus acre farm with a park like setting. White lights illuminate the grounds day and night. There’s a covered veranda and garden terrace. Relax in a hammock, rock on the front porch, walk back to the large pond on the property. So many areas are set up to just sit, relax with your favorite beverage and take in the views. It’s simply magical. The service, well maintained property in side and out, ambiance and warm helpful smiling staff just put this place over the top. Now my husband isn’t sure he can ever stay at a regular hotel. We visited the Ark and the creation museum during our 2 night stay. The drive was worth every mile. There are no other B & Bs nearby to compare. Thank you to Mr & Mrs Hicks, Anastasia, Olivia and Chelsea for making our visit perfect. Sonia, you did a fantastic job renovating, designing and decorating this place. Your family members are managing it well for you.…
We had the most delightful time at this magnificent, beautifully renovated and kept Bed and Breakfast ! The staff was very friendly, our room out of this world and the food so very scrumptious !!! Just the perfect getaway for a night !!!
This is the best B n B this is my second time to stay here and I was not disappointed. It is worth every penny and every one is so nice and very accommodating. The breakfast is top notch and the beds are very comfortable. Will be back for sure.
