Our last night in Newfoundland. A long trip back from Twillingate broken by an overnight stay in this fabulously restored and beautifully appointed historic house . Our Hosts were genuinely welcoming and the added touches of morning coffee at 7.30 left discreetly on the landing so as not to disturb sleepins, and an invitation for little snacks and drinks around...

Our hosts were amazing. Wonderful welcome. Sat out on their waterfront terrasse. Breakfasts soooo good and the rooms are beautiful. Couldn't ask for more. In addition, they really go above and beyond - in the evenings their host a get together with theirs guests having tea, coffee and homemade goodies to chat about your day, share travel tips and get...

Hosts are fantastic and made all the difference in our stay. Very friendly and helpful for local touring info. Well kept family Manor. Food terrific. Plenty of space. Views are nice. Parking limited. Would return. Multi stay discount was available when we visited which was appreciated. Plenty of room in Newfoundland Suite for 2 adults and 2 teen boys. Excellent...

I stayed at Captain Blackmore's Heritage Manor for three evenings. The Manor is one door down from route 230, which is pretty quiet. It is easy to find, but watch that google maps implies a large distance from 'Main Street' and 'Blackmore Street' and they are actually meters apart. There is a nice lounge area near the large dinning area....

My wife and I stayed at Blackmore's for two nights in September. This heritage home has been beautifully restored by the owners and radiates a sense of history in every room. Garry and Shelly are wonderful hosts; there when you need them but not in your face. They both provided information about the area and its history that you would...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, September 15th to 19th, 2016 during 17 day tour of Newfoundland. We could not have picked a better B & B to stay in on the Bonavista Peninsula. The hosts, John and Shelly were fantastic. Their service starts the minute you book. During the booking process over phone John asked if...

We had a terrific time here and found Gary and Shelley to be extremely gracious and thoughtful hosts. Breakfasts were amazing, evening refreshments a very nice touch, and our room very comfortable. Port Union is a great base for exploring the Bonavista Peninsula.

Recently stayed at Captain Blackmore's for four nights. We found Garry and Stella to be very gracious hosts. The accommodation was spacious and very clean. Breakfasts, ordered the night before, were made to order and nothing was too much trouble. We found the evening "mug up" at 8:30pm gave us the opportunity to connect with other guests and share our...

Everything that I would have raved about has been said consistently with all the reviews. Each and everything done at this beautiful b and b is done perfectly. Fresh baked goodies complimenting a breakfast made specifically as one selects, freshly ironed sheets, walking sticks to take on walks, evening tea with homemade treats, fruit and cheese .... No detail is...

We stayed in the Daisey Kean room which is on the second floor and has a large balcony looking out to the ocean. The room was very comfortable and quiet....get the larger rooms. You must drive up to the lighthouse to see the sights and also the play down in Trinity should not be missed. Gary and Shelly did an...
