Our room was SO clean and since the staff on duty knew we were coming from our wedding, they had our room lights dimmed and music playing upon our arrival. Room service the next morning for breakfast was delivered to us super fast and was absolutely delicious. It was the little things that made our stay so perfect and it was the most amazing way to spend our first night as husband and wife! - Michael S1 contributionAn unexpected surpriseMy wife and I recently took a business trip to Cincinnati, and opted to stay a night at Hotel Covington. We had no real expectations, as we had never been to either Cincinnati or Covington. The imagery on their website was very descriptive, so that's why we booked. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by a friendly valet, and the desk team was awesome. Everyone we met on staff was genuinely friendly in an authentic way. The room was beautiful. Being that it was Coppin's Department store, an historic site, the owners did a fantastic job of retaining original architecture with modern, tasteful appointments. The lobby and restaurant design are also beautifully done. We then booked dinner, and were pretty blown away by the meal. We have traveled the world, and lived in Portland, Oregon for over 20 years, so we've had our fair share of good dining experiences. But Coppins? Exceptional. Perfect service, well prepared and well presented dishes, in the perfect portions. Great wine and spirits list, and the environment was comfortable and very well designed. Breakfast the next morning was also perfect, down to the smallest detail. They even take the time to quenelle a soft boiled egg. So if you're looking for a premium, thoughtful experience in a hotel in the Cincinnati area, we couldn't recommend Hotel Covington enough. I love the history of these Buildings, Coppins was a department store I went to as a kid & I took Swimming & gymnastics at the YMCA which is now the North. Many great memories.

Loved everything about the hotel. From the coffee bar to the restaurant. Loved staying in Covington. Convenient to everything. Great restaurants and stores in Main Strauss Village. Ed ( hotel concierge) treated me like a king. We met friends for lunch at the hotel restaurants. Food and service were excellent.

We stayed at Hotel Covington for a family wedding. Our room was not made available to us until after 6:pm, which was after the start of the wedding. It wouldn’t have a significant issue, but the front desk kept indicating the room would be available in 15 minutes. This occurred at 4:, 4:15, and 4:30. When it became clear that the room was not going to be ready in the near term and after several encouragements to provide a solution, they finally offered the use of a basement bathroom, which was being used by other guests, so wasn’t actually an option. We finally got access to a small room so we could prepare for the wedding. The front desk deferred any discussion of a discount as no managers were present. We were told we would receive a call the day after check-out, but no call was received. Very disappointing. We won’t stay here in the future.…

This is a pretty nice hotel but does not seem to live up to its high rating. It has great bars and restaurant along with friendly staff but when you get to the room, it’s disappointing. When I got off the elevator, I walked down a hallway with dirty, stained carpets. When I got into my room, I found a dirty bathroom that still had surprises in the toilet bowl and hair on the floor. They sent housekeeping up to clean it and even he commented on how bad it was and how sorry he was we found it like that. The bathroom sink didn’t drain well, so it’d be full of water by the time I finished brushing my teeth. The sink knobs were loose and would slide around. The shower door didn’t close all the way and leaked into the floor. It also had a pretty loose handle. I asked for the items to be fixed or allowed to move rooms. They fixed the slow drain but that’s it. I wouldn’t have paid what I did for this hotel if I knew it’d be like this. I’ve had cleaner accommodations at Holiday Inns. …

Beautiful hotel, great room, wonderful breakfast in the courtyard. We travel to the Cincinnati area every August and always stay at Hotel Covington. The location is great, and the area improves every year. Will definitely be back.

From being picked up at airport through the entire stay the folks at the Covington Hotel were amazing, the hotel itself offers all the amenities, restaurant, bar common are with great street views. The surrounding area is equally inviting, much to see, great entertainment!

Lobby and, bar and restaurant were frigid and very uncomfortable. I tried 3 times to get your shuttle from the airport 1 and 2 days in advance and was given 3 different answers to book. I had to take a cab from the airport and it cost $51. We had breakfast one morning in the restaurant and despite only 3 other people in there, our food took way too Lon to be served and it was cold. Room was nice but no closet.Way over priced.

beautiful decor (love all the unique light fixtures) in a historic setting - but more important - the staff are universally, kind, helpful and friendly. and the food is excellent too - we've been eating most of our meals here.
