I did not stay here but I thought I would mention this old building. Very well kept; beautiful, huge fireplaces. My wife and I had a nice walk thru this building. And the Riverview Restaurant, offered a great lunch buffet. You can eat a tasty lunch with many selections at an unbelievable prices. Family of 4: eat here and you... More

We always stop somewhere on our trek from Atlanta, Ga to Toledo, OH each summer. And this year, as we drove north, I found this Lodge in the park. We wanted to get in a hike to break up all the driving, and it sounded perfect. Despite some negative reviews for being dated and have lack of cleanliness, I went... More

Keep this in mind that this is a old state park resort around 80 years old. It is a cool old building. It is a Beautiful location with great views. However the lodge is a little musty smelling (comes with older buildings). there was a leaky window in the hallway outside our room (it did storm hard). The room was... More

Overall the lodge nice and the grounds are beautiful. Nestled in the forest. The Cabin was clean steps leading up or down depending on how you look at it. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. Be sure to bring snacks, food, drinks etc. The lodge is in a dry county. There is a small store with limited hours... More

We had a nice view from our king river view room and the park is very pretty. The lodge could use some new carpeting and sprucing up. The room was adequate and the bathroom was small with no counter space. Tried to see the moonbow but it seemed a bit over-rated and hard to see a small white streak above... More

We loved the hiking trails, the view from the deck of the lodge is second to none, grounds were beautiful. Enjoyed the swing and chairs out front as well. We played family games in the room adjacent to the deck. The service was friendly- we requested rooms near our family when reservations were made unfortunately that couldn't be accommodated. The... We stayed 2 nights in one of the Woodland rooms. They are close to the lodge but far enough to feel like you are in the woods. We were toward the end of the woods side. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, very quiet and peaceful. We walked to the lodge for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was very good.... More

We wanted to take our dogs on a trip and when we found out they were welcome here, he packed our bags and went. Was great to let them walk in the water to cool down after a walk on a trail. Would definitely recommend this for dog folks.

We stayed in one of the Woodland Cottages, they are close to the lodge, the have a tiny coffee pot, frig, microwave and sink. An outdoor charcoal grill & picnic table is just outside the cottage. The bathroom is small, but the shower has great water pressure. The ceiling was black above the shower. There are steps going down into... More

We had a lovely picnic lunch here then hiked around the area. Falls were very pretty. People were fishing and hanging out on the large boulders strewn about the river. Very nice place for a day trip or a stop on the way past the area!
