The wife and I decided to take a weekend trip to Cumberland Falls, a part of our own state that neither of us had ever visited. It is a beautiful park and I would encourage anyone to go visit the falls. We stayed in the...More

This is a state lodge in a state park. Within that context, the overall experience was very positive. We stayed the weekend prior to July 4th with two children, 12 and 14. Check in was quick and efficient. We had a first floor room in...More

We headed here for a short getaway Sunday-Tuesday, July 2-4. It was a nice trip, but I would have been disappointed if I had wanted to do many activities. The Big South Fork Railroad and the Rainbow Mist boat are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Also,...More

My wife and I took the dog down to the lodge for the weekend this spring. The facility is quaint and cute, exactly what you want in a state park lodge. The amenities aren't extensive, and the dining room is a bit dated, but the...More

Not sure, it was quite a while since we were there but they had a small kitchen set up so I think they actually did. We stayed in the cabins not the hotel itself.

There is an outdoor swimming pool at the end of the street at the upper numbers of the Woodland cabins. It is closed at present. It is big and nice.

You can drive down to the falls. There is a parking lot very close and you will have to walk less than 100 feet to get to see the falls. We used a AAA discount.
