There was only one thing I did not like about the 1 King Suite. We had to carry our luggage up and down a narrow winding staircase. The suite itself looked out on both the front and back of the lodge, with a view of the river. It had a couple of different levels with a couple of steps between...

We were traveling through the area and decided to try the Cumberland Falls State Resort instead of a national chain type hotel. The resort itself is nice, has a fun rustic feel, and was decorated for Christmas. The rooms were small and definitely on the older side, but everything was clean and well maintained. Overall for the price and the...

Went to this amazing KY state park over a weekend. The lodge was great, although pricey. State Rangers were great and very knowledgeable. Had great activities and hikes. The resort sits on top of an amazing waterfall in the middle of KY Appalachia. The waterfall is huge and beautiful, and the surrounding canyon is majestic. Hikes are well marked and...

We stayed in the Woodland Cabins at Cumberland Falls State Park. These cabins are located quite near the main lodge building. They are advertised as having a "kitchenette". They have a coffee pot, a microwave oven, a mini-fridge (fridge only, not freezer), and some drinking glasses. No plates, no flatware. Also, the cabins are duplexes - that is, side-by-side pairs...

I have been eating at Dupont Lodge literally all of my life. My family and I used to go nearly every Sunday after church. When I was younger, I loved eating there. The food was always so good. Unfortunately, the taste and quality of food has gone sharply down hill over the last few years. We met last night with...

Felt like I was sleeping in the lobby. Beware room 217!!! First room down from the lobby. Felt and heard everything going on in the lobby, in the hall, room upstairs and on the stairs next to room. Literally, kids were skateboarding across the room above us. Beautiful setting, but in MUCH need of update.

This historic property has so much to offer! The condition of the lodge rooms, water damage to the common areas ( hallways) , fireplace didn't work in the lobby area that could be a cozy place to gather left us disappointed with our stay. The Cumberland Falls is such a great attraction and miles of beautiful hiking draw tourists to...

The restaurant is a lovely setting, but my meal of turkey, dressing and mashed poatoes was too dried out to eat, however the salad bar was good. The waitress was not responsive when I answered her question about why I did not eat my dinner. My night in the lodge room left a lot to be desired. There was no...

The park and area are great but the lodge needs help. Old with thin walls - you can hear everything from your room. We had a king suite and it was roomy and cozy but not very modern. The enire lodge is not very handicap or elderly accessible at all. Also be aware that dogs are allowed. The restaurant menu...

We have stayed twice in the summer with grandchildren. They have loved it. We rent a cabin (two bedrooms/two baths, two full or queen beds per room). Kitchen has everything we need for quick meals. We eat breakfast in and usually out for lunch and dinner but could do all within the cabin. They have planned activities for the children...
