The resort is located within miles of hiking trails. Dog Slaughter, Eagle Falls and Yahoo Falls were fantastic. You should take the hike down to the Natural Arch. I recommend Sonny;s BBQ and the Root Beer stand. The cabins are cozy and away from the campground. It was delightful. We will be back.
We stayed at a backwoods campsite and our friends stayed in a CampInn cabin. Our kids could go exploring in the woods, at the playground, at the gem mine. The resort was overall very quiet for a holiday weekend and the bathrooms were clearn. We did some amazing hiking close by and took a Rainbow Mist boat ride. Great experience! We'll go again.
We stayed at Sheltowee Trace so we could see the moon bow. At first site the resort looked small, we were pleasantly surprised they had so much to offer! The RV sites were spacious and level, tent camping spread throughout, wagon and cabin sleeping sites, a multitude of choices. Activities galore, kayaking, hiking, zip line or sitting in rocking chair on the porch at the store, to name a few. You won't be disappointed.
We stayed in the covered wagon at Sheltowee and we had an amazing time! Not only was the wagon such a great place to stay, the staff was so friendly and helpful, the store and gift shop was well stocked and had everything you may have forgotten to pack. The trails were great, the kayaking trip was easy to book and well instructed, and the bathrooms were clean. We loved it and will definitely be back!
From beginning to end, from planning to packing up and leaving, the entire experience was incredibly and positively, wonderful! The camp sites were immaculate. The bath houses were well-kept. The staff was organized, friendly, and accommodating! There was a sweet little playground by the campground that had up-to-date equipment in it. Glad we stumbled onto this place!
