I stopped in to the Wigwam Village for a stay before my Mammoth Cave tour the next day. The Village matches the surroundings as this is definitely the low-low end of hotels in Cave City. This was the second Wigwam Village I've seen, and based on my experience in CA and reviews for the AZ one, seems to be the... More

As many others have said -stay one night. Not extremely clean or kept up but is a unique experience. You go for the experience of staying in a wigwam. Bring your own toiletries and flip flops to wear so feet don'the touch the floor. Having done once, would not need to do again.

The owner of the place said it best when we walked in to the main office to enquire about a room: "You'll like it... don't expect too much." That said, I found our room to be a lot better than I expected, so if you're up for a really unique experience (a teepee-sized slice of Americana, if you will) then... More

Upon check-in I knew we had made a mistake before even seeing our wigwam. The front office smelled like mold/mildew. The second we walked into our wigwam my head slammed shut from the same mildew allergy. There were dead bugs lying around the floor boards. Like another reviewer mentioned, the WIFI was a joke. Using the restroom, I noticed a... More

My family and I stayed here for one night in July 2016. This place is old and cheap...if you are expecting the Marriott or Hilton don't come here! However, I had read the reviews and decided to come anyway...for the experience of sleeping in one of the last few Wigwam Villages in America. The inside is disappointing - not very... More

We have stayed here twice when our children were smaller (2006 and 2008 -- we are booked again for 8-2016, so the date of travel below is not accurate). For a Wigwam, we thought it was pretty cool to have 2 full sized beds, a shower and dressing area that is separate and an A/C with a small tv. We... More

Now we can all laugh about our stay in the Wigwam Village (well actually, I could laugh about it already during the stay), but it was pretty bad. Although it can add the historical value that the rooms have apparently never been renovated, it does bring some unconveniences along the way. But the worst part was that the owners just... More

This is old but nice and clean. We had really good time. Kids really loved it. It was definitely worthy and good experience. You do not need to sleeping bag ,every wigwam has its own bed and also have bathroom with shower.

Read all the reviews. Go in with the mindset that you are camping. Bring your own sleeping bags and don't plan on showering and you will be fine. It's not clean like a Hilton and its vintage. If you go in with open eyes about what to expect, you won't be so terribly let down. The kids having never played... More

Was definitely worth the experience. They are very neat and historic. Novelty for sure. Could use an update. We stayed here with 2 adults and 2 children. Its definitely close quarters. I think with some TLC this could be an awesome spot.
