Save your money!!! Overpriced, chaos at its finest! way too many uneven sites, too many golf carts speeding, almost ran over a kid!!! Couldn’t have a fire, too close to tents!!! Never!!!!! Too dirty, no toilet paper! No place to dump, unless you want to wait in line for one person with one dump, really!!!

Seems like there are more cabins than campsites and they’re all mixed together. We stayed in sites 129 and 130. They would have been okay if it hadn’t rained. The huge tree would have made great shade, however, because of the rain, all we had was a huge mud hole. Site 129 was on a slope, not great for leveling the TT, but the rain created a river between the two sites. The area between the two flooded and water pooled at site 130. There’s a real drainage problem in that area. We did have little ones with us, and the reason we stayed at such a kid friendly location, but we really were in a muddy mess. The campground is huge. Golf carts are available to rent and I’d recommend it or bring your bikes. We visited Mammoth Cave while there and it seemed just as crowded as pre pandemic. All in all, a great time with the family, but def some areas for improvement with the campsites.

We stayed a week with our two grandchildren, age 5 and age 9. We have camped for 47 years in hundreds of campgrounds, including this one when it was half the size with few amenities. Now it has expanded and is amazing. They added so many new amenities and a huge new camping area. They created a huge man made lake with sand beaches, a huge inflated floating play area called the Wibit. They added another pool, splash area, softball battle area, a peddle cart track, cornhole area and all the other Jellystone amenities. This truly is one of the best campgrounds we have ever used.

Lots of great stuff to do for kids, including a splash pad, multiple playgrounds and a little beach area with shallow water and ample sand. We rented a tiny poolside efficiency and it was fine for us with two very small kids, but we would go bigger next time. It was clearly a little older and not as nice as the newer cabins that other members of my family had—I got rid of a couple of roaches, but it IS a campground. Don’t go if bugs are a deal breaker, I guess. Mattresses in the poolside efficiency were rock hard and overall it was kind of dim and musty, but again, my other family members had Bluegrass cabins and those didn’t have the same issues. Cell service is bad and the WiFi, which they say is available everywhere in the park, pretty much doesn’t work, so don’t count on using this place for a working vacation. But if you’re looking to run around outside, visit the caves, wear your kids out with activities and disconnect for a couple of days, it’s great. We’d recommend it.

Jellystone Cave City is a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was very spacious and was clean upon our arrival. The amenities at the park were awesome. The pedal cars and the water slide were a big hit with our group. My five-year old daughter loved the Hey, Hey, Hey Ride and the arts and crafts. The mini golf course was getting a face lift when we were there, so only about 10 holes were open; however, the face lift was much needed and will greatly improve the course. My only compliant was that the change machine in the laundry was not working and change is not given out anyway in the park. So, next time I will make sure to bring plenty of quarters with me. Besides that very small issue, everything else was awesome. We will be back!
