We have stayed at The Villager for over thirty years. When Dave B. owned the place, it was a wonderful family property. He was always on site, making sure the dock and the property was clean. It was simple, but no bugs or vermin. In the last few years, the present owners have had a tough time due to the...

Our group stayed in 2 cabins. Too expensive for what we got. Cabins were old, appliances were old and everything needs updating. The one I stayed in smelled of cigarette smoke. Towels and sheets smelled of smoke too. The one our friends stay in was 100 times worse. If I had been assigned that one, I would have left right...

We have been coming to the Villager Resort for a number of years. The price is very reasonable, the accomodations are roomy and clean. My family are of all ages, and some like sitting on the deck, some like playing tennis, basketball or swimming in the pool right on the property. We all enjoy the Lake! We have already booked...

Cabin #2 was awful! It reeked of old linens, smoke and pets. The sink dripped constantly and there were ants everywhere! The furniture has not been updated in at least 10 years. The dishes to use were not clean and the big burner did not work. Our clothes, bags, etc stunk on departure. So disappointing especially for the price.

This was my first trip to Lake Cumberland. We booked The White House as our family is quite large. There were plenty of bedrooms, and space for all. The home was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, and tons of seating inside and out. My husband and I met both the owners and their daughter. All were lovely,...

I don't have a single negative thing to say. The cottage we stayed in was extremely clean, and quiet. It was more than enough space for our family. The kitchen had everything I could possibly need and some things I didn't know I needed. Family-oriented, but each cottage has it's own front porch and back patio w/ grill. We were...

I booked two of the units for my family this past weekend because my brother was getting married near Lake Cumberland. The price was okay, but they really ought to put some of the money into renovating the cabins. Also, the cabins aren't right on the lake in quite the way the photos on the website lead you to believe....

We have been going to the Villager Resort at least every other year for the past 8 years. This is a family cottage-style place. If you're looking for a nice hotel or "resort," this will probably not be your favorite. I am used to camping and outdoors-style vacations, so Villager offers a lot of amenities I appreciate. I have looked...
