Welcome to Springhill Winery located in central Kentucky near the majestic town of Bardstown and historic Bloomfield. At home on the stately, historic plantation, circa 1857, Springhill has become a destination to discover both the historic past and trendy present. The home is noted for its embellished Federal and Victorian interior woodwork as well as its civil war stories of the Confederate skirmish of 1864.

We stopped at the winery having no idea what to expect. We had more fun than I can begin to tell you. Mary Ann was a true delight. Very good wine in a beautiful setting. I recommend it to all. We sat and talked and tasted wine for quite a long time. Would love to return.

With the exception of the hash brown casserole, breakfasts were good, and even the casserole was good one morning. There's a winery with pleasant offerings on site, and one of the two winery staffers we met was pleasant as well. Wi-fi was spotty, but it is a big old house; more notable was the fact that our room didn't seem designed for leisure, with no bedside tables or television, and lighting in the room was such that I could see clearly to read when I lay on my side but not my back. The B&B is next to the Bluegrass Parkway, and while passing traffic wasn't that bad at night it could be an issue for other light sleepers. Those who are deathly allergic to wasps should be advised that we killed a few in our room during the course of our stay and found the bodies of a few others. While I don't know that the B&B was responsible for the following, I would be remiss as a TripAdvisor reviewer not to mention it. About halfway through our stay itchy red bumps appeared on my body; upon examining me, my doctor asked if I had been hiking in the woods recently or had played with a dog who spent time in wooded areas, which I hadn't. He said that I'd been bitten by insects of some kind and prescribed a skin cream which I apply twice daily. My wife slept in the same bed at the B&B and hasn't shown symptoms; on the other hand, we've slept in the same bed at home for years without incident.

My husband and I needed a small getaway after having our now 7 month old baby and SpringHill was the perfect place. Comfortable rooms, close to Bardstown, amazing breakfast, amazing wine and hospitality!

We had decided to visit a few Distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and found Springhill Plantation Bed and Breakfast while searching where to stay on the Bourbon Trail website. A plantation home dating back to Civil War times and a Winery too, history and a working winery, all the things we love. We were NOT disappointed. Easy to find location, just off the highway and close to several distilleries and about 10 minutes away from Bardstown Ky. The innkeepers, Eddie and Carolyn, were very welcoming and gracious. Our first stay in a bed and breakfast and enjoyed every moment. We stayed in the Chardonnay Suite, very comfortable 4 poster bed, beautifully furnished, robes and even a hairdryer was provided. Every morning coffee was brought up to our room and a wonderfully delicious breakfast was served in the dining room. Great conversations with the innkeepers at breakfast. Loved hearing about the history of the inn and the winery. We had a great wine tasting with Mary Ann. The wines are delicious, sweet and dry variations and found several favorites. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Springhill Plantation.

The owners are very nice and accommodating. They made us breakfast earlier than the time posted as we had to leave early. They made sure we had a full stomach before leaving. The house was clean and inviting. Recommend to anyone looking to relax on vacation.
