Let me start by saying...this was my first experience with a Bed and Breakfast. I was completely weirded out at first. A lot of strange things...like cabinet doors being zip tied shut, blinds don't close all the way, the outside looks nothing like it does online! Even though this place gives off a sort of creepy vibe, the company we... More

This inn isn't as rural as we expected, but it is within reasonable driving distance of some key parts of Daniel Boone National Forest, the attraction that brought us to Kentucky for our anniversary. We were cheerfully greeted when we arrived. I noticed a lot of containers of cigarette butts on the porch, but it was acceptable. Our room was... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is very architecturally unique (designed by the owner). We toured the other guest rooms and all were quite large and very clean. Each room has their own large, private bathroom. Our room was the Moore Suite and it was spotless, beautiful, huge, and amazingly comfortable. The king size bed was the most comfortable... More

This is a very nice Bed and Breakfast with a beautiful view. The rooms are tastefully appointed. The gentleman who owns and operates the B&B is very friendly and has a great deal of knowledge about the history of the area. The breakfast was fabulous!!! We wouldn't change a thing.

Dr. Ira Bates is a kind and generous host. He's a graduate of Barea College and my daughter was there for her interview. Ira shared with her the history of the school and the area. He's a very interesting man who has had lots of life experiences. I enjoyed our conversations. The breakfast was made to our specifications and was... More

First off, every negative review on here is 100% the experience that we had. We were originally supposed to check in at 3:00 pm, then were called the day of and told that the room wouldn't be ready until 4:00 or after. We called back around 4 and asked if they were ready for us yet and he said it... More

My boyfriend and I went to this inn in Berea to celebrate our first month together. This place has a beautiful view, and the place is very clean and organized. Plus, the owner has a lot of small dogs that would follow us around, it was very fun! Also, he knows a lot about berea and the best places to... More

We arrived to an Inn that looked nothing like the wonderful photos online. A gravel road led up to a poorly maintained looking inn. There was a car with the hood up that looked like someone was working on it and junk here and there. The outside of the building and surrounding areas did not look inviting at all. My... More

I will preface this post by stating we have only stayed in two other B&B's. We stayed here for a football game because all the hotels were booked in Lexington due to Breeder's Cup. The driveway is gravel, poorly maintained. Our low car scraped several times. As we walked to the door no lights were on outside, the sidewalk was... More

After a harrowing drive to find the place; about 20 minutes out of town on poorly maintained country roads, we were greeted with a shamble of a place. Gravel road access must be the least of the issues. We were actually afraid to get out of the car. the place appears to be in a state of poor condition. The... More
