We went to Bardstown during our Bourbon Trail tour. What a WONDERFUL place and the Old Talbott Tavern was a huge part of the appeal. We loved the antiquity of the place. We stayed in a suite with a queen bed, den, and private bath and LOVED it. The staff were beyond wonderful . . . every need was addressed...

This is a facility with a multiple personality disorder. Most of the time, the Talbott Tavern is a fine old bed & breakfast-type inn, with vintage furnishings and a fine, dedicated staff. Some of the place is a bit frayed about the edges, and the amenities aren't top-notch; in our room, for example, the towel rack in the bath was...

The Old Talbott Tavern is quite a historical place to stay. We booked the Lincoln Suite for a couple nights. We had no ghostly activity and really didn't expect to experience such :) The suite had a nice sitting room with TV & books. The historic bathroom was not an appealing setup especially for ladies. This suite need more mirrors...

This is a LONG OVERDUE review. We actually travelled there in June of 2014. A motorcycle trip brought us to Bardstown to sample some fine Bourbons. We were within walking distance of the Talbott Tavern and decided to dine there. We enjoyed it very much and decided to return the next night. We were having a bourbon on the bar...

A girlfriend and I stayed at the Talbot Tavern Inn on a roadtrip weekend in July. It was a cute place with a ton of history! We stayed in the Lincoln room, which was in the front corner of the building. The room was huge and a tiny bathroom. Although we both found the laminated music sheets in the shower...

Stayed here as part of a six state road trip.,great to think of all the historical people who have walked the same floors. Bed was a bit small in the Lincoln suite, but comfy. Pleasant staff, ate in restaurant which was good, though did over indulge a bit with the bourbon 😕. Breakfast was good though is only served at...

I have decided that I'm not a bourbon person. With that being said, this would not keep me from going back and staying at the inn, eating in the restaurant and having a nightcap at the bar! The atmosphere is wonderful, the rooms clean and bright and the food is fantastic!!! We stayed in the Washington Irving suite which was...

The toilet in the Boone Room kept refilling soundlessly and very slowly to the point that the tank leaked out of the flusher handle hole. We reported it to Mary Jane who graciously replenished the towels (as we used the first batch to mop the floor). To our knowledge no managment person responded to the toilet issue. I kept flushing...

My husband and I were in Bardstown for a few hours and stopped into The Talbot Tavern for an appetizer and a little rest. Much to our surprise we were welcomed with a musical delight, Rob Unseld. Rob played guitar and sang a wide range of artist's songs with his own personal style. We ordered blackened steak bites with horsey...

My companion and I really enjoyed our stay here. The building is quaint, rustic, and full of history. There are creaky stairs, nooks and crannies, vintage decorations and cases of artifacts. The restaurant downstairs is an excellent place to have dinner as well! There is a beautiful balcony upstairs where you can sit and overlook the town square with a...
