Recently Newly Renovated Building with all new rooms. Spacious rooms with beautiful bathroom with large walk-in glass shower. Original brick wall lends charm. Small refrigerator & micro wave, coffee maker. However, we stayed two nights and our bed was never made up in the morning. I don't need clean sheets, but have never stayed in a place where the bed...

A very quaint and historical site to visit with the rumours of this place being haunted : ) We really enjoyed our stay and the history of Jesse James having frequented this tavern. We will be back that for sure.

Built in 1779 this is the oldest western stagecoach stop in American When I crossed the threshold of this establishment, I remembered some of the others who had done the same--Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Henry Clay, William Henry Harrison to name a few--and I was in awe. But I was disappointed with my lunch. The waitress told us that the...

We have had several meals here and always enjoyed our visit. Portions are very good, prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. This time we stayed overnight in the historic inn. Awesome room with charm and a vintage appeal. Very much recommended.

What a great place and wonderful historic town. The Tavern has been visited by Abe Lincoln, Daniel Boon and more. Jesse James shot up the place and you can still the bullet holes in the walls. Heard many stories of other spirited guests that might still be there. The Inn has 15 wonderful rooms some historic and some tastefully new....

Four of us had dinner there two nights ago. Fried green tomato appetizer was excellent, burgoo was spicy and good, hot brown was a bit of a disappointment. For my taste, it had too much ham and the sauce was very rich. Couldn't finish the dish. My friend enjoyed his beef stew but my wife's hamburger was cooked rare. She...

We stopped here on a Sunday evening. The waitress was nice and the TV had the game on. The fries tasted like yesterday's heated in the microwave. The Black and Tan we ordered was weak. Not good food and the specialty bourbons were crazy expensive. We will not go back

We drove into Bardstown with no accomodation booked. We dined in the Bourbon bar and the food and service was tremendous. The rooms in the hotel are superb. We stayed in the building next door where the rooms are brand new, clean and very spacious. The hosts, John and Kathy, were extremely hospitable.....great place to stay in Bardstown.

We had such a fun night at the Old Talbott: ghost stories, yummy ribs and a first class band on in the bar. Our server was lovely and welcomed us to take a look around the old building upstairs although we were not staying there. The cover charge to the bar was waived, which it is if you're staying there......
