I loved this hotel. Rooms were super quiet, I couldn't hear my neighbors in any direction, Bedding was clean & comfortable. Room size was good, and I enjoyed a nice view of the river and baseball stadium. Walk-in shower stall is all slate tile with massive glass door. Water was always hot and the detachable shower wand was a nice feature. Thermostat was easy to use and worked perfectly. Large screen TV with satellite connection & Chromecast option. The staff was super friendly. There's a restaurant on-site, food was delicious. Also, a Starbucks Cafe with many bakery items and plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby. On-site garage parking at 12/night added to your bill. Your room key allows you access the the parking garage. Literally, my only complaint was that at 1am, I needed something to drink & snack on, I was directed to vending machines in the hotel basement. For a hotel of this caliber (and price point) this is unacceptable. Guests should be able to access all of the refrigerated food & drinks and HBA items (in the lobby) 24/7. Right now, these items can only be accessed when the Coffee Bar is open. If all of the other major brand hotels have figured this out, it seems reasonable that managers at this Hyatt Regency can too. Of course, the vending machine malfunctioned and gave me an item that I did not select; adding to my frustration over this whole lack of attention to detail and overall breakdown in customer service. …
Carpet was worn, paint was peeling, but decor was updated. Restaurant was ok, but prices were very reasonable. Shuttle service to and from Intrust Arena was very much appreciated. It would've been nice if the bar stayed open later once we returned from the concert and wanted to continue the night out.
From the little nuances of decoration to the friendly and capable staff on both the Conventions side as well as the House side, this was a great place to gather. The shuttle driver is friendly and personable, and the desk staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The walk from the parking structure to the rooms was enough to get a bit of blood pumping, but other than that, this is a solid, comfortable and completely satisfying place to hold a convention whether big or small!
I spent three nights at the Hyatt Regency Wichita for an association conference. My room was an accessible room with a view of the river. Upon check-in my room was very clean and stocked with sufficient towels for the stay. The bed was comfortable and room temperature was perfect. I ate dinner twice in the hotel restaurant and the food and service was excellent. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.
This hotel was a breath of fresh air when it comes to my hotel history. So many disappointments in the past but the Hyatt was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable; the service staff worked well and were diligent.
Hotel was neat, clean and spacious, an enjoyable walk to any location. The elevators were swift and quiet. The view from the 12th floor was amazing. Large screen TV was enjoyable. Outlets for laptop, phone charger were all convenient, and access to wifi was very easy. Bed was most comfortable bed in a hotel that I can remember. However there was no glass or even plastic cup in the bathroom to rinse my mouth. The toilet lacked sufficient flushability, consistently and without fail, requiring multiple attempts to complete the task. I did hear my neighbors late at night engage in an over excited discussion, though the exact words eluded me. Convention breakfast was fine, especially if one prefers very crisp bacon.
I was extremely happy with my stay at the Wichita Hyatt. It's a very tall building, so no matter where you are in Wichita, you can navigate back to the hotel. It's right on the river, with lots of walkways and paths. Downtown is a bit of a hike, but definitely doable. The Delano district is closer (unfortunately there was a lot of construction during my stay, so I couldn't spend a lot of time there). Desk staff were helpful. Gave me restaurant recommendations and walking directions. They also reminded me to visit the Troll (mission accomplished) My room on the 17th floor had a view of the river. I really can't imagine a better view in Wichita. Had a drink at the bar after my dinner downtown, and hats off to Andrea! She had a lot of customers but was attentive to every one of them. I would love to come back to Wichita and spend more time at the museums - I won't hesitate to return to the Hyatt.…
In spite of it being an older building it is kept in very good shape. Extremely courteous and helpful staff, good food, easy to get to and close to downtown along the river - nice walking path along the river.
Staff was very cordial, accommodations were excellent for the most part.. The parking garage was nice, but it was a little bit of a walk from the garage through all the hallways to get to the lobby and elevators.
I was very impressed with my stay at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita. I was able to check in and out through the app or email, which I loved. So much simpler and faster and I don’t have to bother a clerk. I really appreciated one of the clerk’s people xtra helpfulness after I had checked out but was still there for a convention. I felt this was above and beyond, but she did it with a cheerful smile!
