Stopped in on way home. Clean bathroom and showers. Campground pretty clean. As others have stated real close to train tracks. You will hear 3-5 a night. You can see the train coming by the n my second pic. But we got the best sleep of our 10 day trip here. They have pizza delivery available and the staff was very nice. The WiFi toward cabins was poor. You can pay for better WiFi. Verizon service here is 4g. There are some neat campgrounds neat the creek that runs through the property. The creek looks very inviting on a warm summer day.

We rented a cabin there. It was safe and relaxing. Only complaint was the cabins did not come with blankets or pillows. This was not listed anywhere and it made for an uncomfortable night. They are available to rent I found out when I asked, but seems odd a cabin would not include this. They have food available to Purchase and a little store if you forget anything. Bring stuff to float on the creek for extra fun! We will definitely go again.

Great little getaway. Cute town. Peaceful area. There was a great spot to fish and play in the water. A train station that was fun to look at. Playground for kids. My two young kids had a blast. Bathroom was clean.

Driving through to Springfield, MO and wanted to try and stay at another RV park, but thanks to road construction had to drive the extra distance to this campground. I am glad that we did.

We arrived quite tried and needed to stop and the fortunate thing was the office was still open. A very nice and friendly gentleman greeted us and got us registered. Found our spot with no problems. This time of the year the travelers seem to be fewer and this night (9/9) was no exception. It is kind of nice having your own section to yourself.

Very clean and very well maintained shower/toilet facilities here. Water and Electrical hook-ups are easily reached without having to hunt for a faucet near the ground. Did not use the septic hook-up at this park, but easily could have.

I live in a railroad town and there is a branch line passing within 50-feet of our backyard. So, the trains do not bother me at all. I would stay here again if I passed through the area.

The only draw back was there was no eatery in town (Paxico is small) so if you want a Mom and Pop "stick-to-your-ribs" meal you are out of luck, but that should not stop you from staying here.

We absolutely loved our experience in this tiny town and we were blown away by the hosts hospitality. Pulling in on a Friday evening, it was full, a rare occurance but it was the 'meatloaf festival' wknd. We were offered a large grassy area to dry camp for the night and we were elated to have it all to ourselves right next to the old train depot on sight. Perfection for us!
Within minutes the first huge train thundered by and my little pup jumped in my lap. It shook the trailer and we ran outside to watch this magnificent invention go by. 8 trains during the night, but we liked it. A true experience of small town Kansas life. Very nice sites along the creek for tents and small trailers. Fireflies at night. 1/4 mile walk to tiny town of 4 antique shops, bar, town hall, and that's all!!! No grocery or gas.
A most wonderful experience that we will talk about for a long time. 😊

Reading the previous reviews and seeing the campground was located along the railroad tracks from Google Maps, we wanted to see for ourselves how "awful" the train noise was. We got in our 22 foot motorhome and turned on the A/C and NEVER heard the trains. I must say: WE LOVE TRAINS and live in a town where trains pass often each day and night. The history that was on display at the entrance/office area was outstanding. The campground was well manicured along with clean restrooms. Swimming in the creek could be fun but we chose to sit in the swing and enjoy the view of the creek and fields nearby. The added amenity of a storm shelter made us feel safe and glad we did not need to use it. Hope we can stay longer on our next trek West or East along I-70.

We stopped here for one night while going cross country. It’s an ok place. The office lady was very nice and the campground is ok. The only problem is there is a train track VERY close to the campground. I found this to be awful when they are going through all night. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Beautiful campground. Didn't see much as we pulled in at dusk in RV and attempted to sleep. Will never stay again and do not recommend unless you enjoy loud trains all night long. Dump station not at each pull through, but centrally located. Electric, water and wifi.

Traveling along I-70 and had researched this campground back in NY. It was all I expected and more. Very quaint slice of America. Level sites, full hookups, 30/50 amp service, playground, walking paths, tons of memorabilia. In the middle of farmland. Only one drawback for some would be the freight trains that pass close by. I found it a soothing rumble in the night. Great owners. Friendly and helpful. Stayed in a motor home.
