Maybe it was because this was the end of a 7 day, 18 state long-ass road trip, but I was disappointed in this stay, which was surprising because of all the hotels we stayed at this was the only one to offer a manager's reception and a made to order breakfast instead of a doggie bag. The staff, like the staff in every other place we stayed, was very nice and friendly, the water pressure was ok, and the bed was comfortable. The first impression of the room was that it smelled just like tequila, so they must have been using a sanitizer made by a distiller. The furniture was ok except for the couch which was actually missing the cushions that go on the back of it. The room was not what I'd reserved: I requested and was confirmed a premium King suite and we were put in a normal king suite. No, I did not go to the management to get the correct room. Why, you ask? Because by the time I'd figured out we didn't get what we'd reserved it was at the end of a 10 hour drive and we'd already unpacked a bit of our stuff, and we were too tired to care enough to repack everything, go to the front desk and move to a new room. In addition, for whatever reason the premium suite was listed as the same price as the room we were given (which was why I chose it in the first place, because, hello - snacks!), so it wasn't like we'd paid extra. I hesitated to bring it up in this review but it seemed important to do so, but let me emphasize that I didn't offer them the chance to make it right. We were just too tired. Maybe because of all the Covid stuff going on, but all the beautiful plants that normally populate their planters in the reception area were either dying or completely missing so you were left to look at dirt. We didn't go to the manager's reception because there was a large number of people there and it was too many people in the area to maintain social distancing. I do wish that we could have taken part in their made to order breakfast because it looked promising - instead of being served buffet style they came to take your order and brought it to your table. We were pushing to get on the road by 6:00 am, get out of Kansas City and beat the work traffic though, and didn't have the time to wait for it to be cooked. It's a shame because this was the best option we'd seen at any of the hotels during the entire trip.…
Don’t stay here, I stayed in the presidential suite! It had not been cleaned in a very long time the sink in the bedroom with the tub had no running cold water, the sink was filthy as well as the tub. I went because I was having a medical procedure early the next morning, got in late went straight to bed. I have pictures. Thank God there was a shower in the other bathroom.when I advised the front desk they stated oh rereally, then offered 5000. Points it’s a pandemic so to assure a room has been cleaned should be a BIGpriorty. Don’t stay there
Simply put, the hotel was not renovated. I was under the impression that it was, it was not. The rooms were very outdated. The furniture was either ripped, stained or both. Certain channels did not come in on the tv. The construction noise from upstairs kept my children up and left us with no hot or running water. The breakfast could have been better.
Visible black mold, unresponsive night staff, extremely loud renovations, poor remodel work is noticeable everywhere, extremely filthy pool area. Honestly, stay somewhere else. Especially if you have a sensitive respiratory system.
This hotel is going through remodeling. I was excited to get a newly remodeled room. Except the room wasn't clean, with dry wall dust and scraps of cardboard all over, and not finished, with an old couch with a tear in the cushion still in the room. Smaller things, like I had no lotion or extra toilet paper roll, and the k-cups for the new Keurig had no caffeinated coffee. Called the front desk about the coffee, and received the old style pods. I've stayed here before and it was fine, but this time felt a bit discombobulated from the renovations, which are still ongoing. It'll be great once it's fully done, but I'm not sure if stay again until it is done.
