This place (apt), met all our expectations. The only downside is that we were initially under the impression that there was free shuttle service to and from the airport. Not true. They do not have a shuttle service at this time. Be prepared to use Uber or ??
I stayed at WaterWalk during my 13wk contract as a travel nurse at Wesley Children's Hospital in Wichita. (6min drive).I cannot say enough how PERFECT my stay was! I chose the place mostly for the convenience of "one bill". No setting up utilities, making security deposits, etc. One bill each month for all- and pro-rated for the dates I stayed.Convenient and affordable. WaterWalk is a perfect combination of Hotel/Apartment living. Firstly, the staff is welcoming and friendly. (Shout out and special thanks to Christa and Mandy!). Acknowledging my night-shift schedule, they specifically considered my (daytime quiet) needs in selecting my apt. (Not that that was necessary- I never heard any noise from the neighbors at all except for an occasional barking dog). The place is dog-friendly, so you should keep that in mind. I did not bring my own dog with me, but I enjoyed interacting with other dogs on the property when I saw them. My apartment was fabulous! Clean and nicer than my own home! My favorite attributes (spoken as a night-shift travel nurse) #1 very QUIET environment, #2 I could control the AC- and it was cooold! #3 The shades, curtains were hotel-quality, so the rooms were very dark! #4 my own washer/dryer in my own apt #5 location couldn't have been more convenient! As a woman living alone I felt VERY SAFE at Waterwalk. There is always an employee at the property, and cameras all around to monitor the area. Never saw anyone there that didn't belong there. I appreciated the community room -although did not personally use it- except for the awesome coffee machine. That was really convenient for me as a sleep-deprived night-shifter! I occasionally noticed families having cook-outs on the patio (gas grills and gazebos there) or birthday parties, or friends just hanging out on the couches. Overall, the residents kept to themselves unless I initiated a conversation. The location is wonderful. I stayed from June-Sept, when the temp was 90-100 degrees everyday. Although I very much missed the ocean (coming from NJ), I enjoyed spending time walking up and down the river walk, only 50 feet away. There are bikes and scooters available from the city that you can grab and go at any location. Through the summer there were concerts, food trucks, festivals and weekly outdoor markets in the surrounding blocks- easily walkable. Although I have many places I want to see and don't plan to be in Wichita again, I really enjoyed my stay there- and WaterWalk was the #1 reason why! I highly recommend this housing to any traveling nurse working in Wichita.…
The place was extremely quiet and peaceful! We were traveling with our kids and they upgraded our room to a 2 bedroom! Wonderful staff. Location is right next to the river with a lovely walking trail. The gym next door was very convenient and clean. Would stay there again!
We have stayed here several times and if we are going to stop in Wichita its the only place we stay! From the large rooms to the fresh made breakfast it can't be beat! Full size refrigerator, free laundry its unbeatable!
I stayed at the Waterwalk hotel Apartments for a month while in Wichita for work, and I couldn’t have been happier with the Waterwalk accommodation and team. Being away from home for that amount of time can be difficult when staying at a hotel, but coming home to the Waterwalk was a pleasure. The apartments are very comfortable, clean and have all the elements needed to create a home base. The team at Waterwalk are so friendly and welcoming, there is always a warm and genuine greeting and they go out of their way to help and make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Thank you to the team for a wonderful stay.
