We stayed here for a gymnastics meet that was taking place in the attached venue. Very nice hotel! Beautifully remodeled and clean. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was wonderful! We ate there both nights we stayed. You have to use your room key in the elevator to get to the floors with rooms for added security. Pool area was nice and clean and the kids really enjoyed it. It was a salt water pool and hot tub which we love, no harsh chemicals. We would definitely stay again!

This is a very good venue for a meeting or convention. Directly adjacent and connected to the Overland Park Convention Center, the hotel also has its own meeting and ballrooms, which is what I'm reviewing. Hotel parking is on two levels, accessed via a ramp just West of the hotel entrance. There is also ample convention area parking, including street as well as covered parking. Attractive, fresh and updated decor. Hotel meeting facilities are on the same side as the separate Convention Center. Meeting rooms were as expected, with standard lighting and audio-visual. I would give high marks, however to a few important basics. Seating and tables were a step above average - comfortable for all-day work sessions. Food, drink, and catering staff were a cut above. Plenty of choices, efficient service, and appetizing and satisfying meals. I especially appreciated the all-day coffee and tea stations featuring Starbucks. The coffee was always brewed perfectly - smooth, not bitter. Very convenient access to major highways and roads; the hotel is in a major shopping. dining, and entertainment area. Two wishes from my recent experience: 1) In the large ballrooms, tone down the lighting a bit so it's more welcoming, comfortable, and doesn't wash out the video presentations; 2) Post the meeting wi-fi information in all venues spaces. Many I spoke to couldn't complete the log-on. I can highly recommend Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center for a meeting or event.…

I was here with a work group. We stayed two nights and it was great, the room was in good condition and was clean. My only complaint was there was a staple on the floor that I stepped on but it was no bother. The drinks at the hotel bar were expensive but good. We also enjoyed the patio area equipped with fires. Breakfast was very good and the wait staff was grand on our second morning. We did not receive housekeeping services but our group may have requested that, I'm not sure. I would come again!

For a breastfeeding mother traveling on business, I would hope people understand the distress I felt when I came back to my hotel after leaving my room for half an hour at 9:00 am to find someone had come in my room and removed all of my pumped breast milk and my pumps from the fridge and removed my bedding. Checkout time is noon and I have not checked out at 9 am. There was no reason for them to go into my room or remove any of my belongings. When I flipped out and called the manager, they just said sorry and will compensate me for it. They didn’t even bother to figure out what happened to my breast milk and pumps. How does someone compensate me for waking up in the middle of the night to pump so that my baby will have his milk when I come back from my work trip? I had to push really hard for them to tell me what happened to my breast and pump. I was late for my business meeting and so distraught to concentrate for my next meeting. They gave me credit for the night but can not make up for what I had to experience. I do not trust this hotel at all. This was also after I had checked in the night before to find a half eaten sandwich still in the fridge. I had to call services to get the fridge cleaned out so I can put my breast milk in. I tried to overlook that first impression but they continue to disappoint.…

Clean and spacious rooms. Very comfortable bed with luxurious sheets. Lobby area and bar/eating area fabulous service and great food! Quiet room. Sheraton Club Breakfast was great. Parking was spacious and secure but covered was not open.

My score take presently: This should be a split positive two and a half stars, and a negative two and a half stars… My friend’s family and I have spent some time at this hotel in the past summers of 2016 and 2019 as we’ve stayed in a Junior suite both times then. This summer, we hoped to return again to experience a stay in a remodeled Junior suite. (This is what the negative half of the stars are applied to): Unfortunately, it was disappointing to find out that the hotel had boosted the more decent and affordable 200.00- 300.00 Junior suite rate of the past up to a ridiculous rate of 430.00 or more. I realize that the Sheraton is supposed to be a premium Marriott hotel, rates will change and increase as they have done for the properties, but I still think that present rate is ridiculous and too much for the room. Especially for the size, decor, and furniture quality represented ( in the room photos). If you are an extremely wealthy person, you may be able to afford it with no problem or damage to your bank account, though. Like I said before, I know that things change, but also like myself, I feel for some others who also liked to pay an attainable rate and gather in a Junior suite for some leisure time with or without others as well. The rates for the Sheraton Crown Center suites have also increased, but to only a more fair 100.00 increase in comparison to this property. Furthermore, because of this situation this summer with the Overwhelming Sheraton Overlland Park rates, after looking at a few substitute locations, we finally stayed at the smaller, neighboring sister Courtyard Marriott property at the Overland Park Convention Center. I am sorry to say that we won’t be returning to the Overland Park Sheraton , but we wanted to thank everyone there for the hospitality, accommodations, the wonderful staff service, spacious and clean rooms, and facilities from our past stays there!- (This is what the positive half of the stars are applied to)…

I'm really picky about hotels and I was nervous because we were there with a soccer team and didn't get to choose our hotel....but I shouldn't have been! The rooms are newly remodeled and CLEAN! The lobby, restaurant and common spaces are beautiful. The pool is nice and large. The food at the restaurant is pretty good and the Starbucks is exceptional. Just as good as a "regular" Starbucks but a bit cheaper. Close to restaurants and shopping. My only complaints, and they are minor, are that the doors are thin and you can hear everything in the hallway and the free breakfast was pretty limited (pre-packaged food plus apples and bananas only). But we had a great stay!

I was feeling skeptical after reading some of the recent bad reviews on here, but I want to tell you that my family and I had an amazing and wonderful weekend at the Sheraton Overland Park hotel. My wife and daughter were attending the Pinners (Pinterest) Conference at the convention center next door, and we thought it would be incredibly convenient if we could stay at the Sheraton. As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member, I received an upgrade to the Club Level Floor. Not sure what that got me, since the Club Lounge is closed. But the room was nice, and it was enjoyable to be up on a high floor. All of the staff I encountered were professional and friendly. They made me feel important as a guest, from check-in to extending the Bonvoy Gold late checkout benefit to us. We enjoyed the hot tub, and our kids enjoyed the pool. It's always fun to go swimming when there's snow on the ground right outside! The hotel looks like a classy hotel should look. The restaurant had a decent buffet breakfast of which we partook on one of our two mornings there. I wish they had lunch time offerings, at least on the weekends, and I look forward to the Club Lounge being open again. I will definitely return here on the next visit to Overland Park. If this is the future of Sheraton under the Marriott umbrella, I look forward to visiting more of them!…

I picked this hotel specifically for the lounge. I called 2 weeks ago to verify the lounge was open. I was told it was open during the week and would be open during my stay. When I checked in tonight I was told last week Marriott Corporate decided to close the loung through Jan 9th because the were not a lot of Bonvoy members staying here during the next few weeks. What? What am I considered. So nothing to do with COVID. I was not informed of this. I would have stayed elsewhere. This is horrible. I also called the Ambassador desk to arrange for something to be in the room for my son’s birthday. I was asked his name and what sort of candy he liked. I was even sent an e-mail confirming this. Of course nothing was in the room. I called the Ambassador line and was put on hold for 10 minutes. They saw the notes about this in the file. I got an apology and was offered 10,000 Bonvoy points - which I declined. I don’t want points or money, I just want service. Marriott does not care about my 150 hotel night stays a year any more. Please stay away from Marriott and this hotel.…

We had 2 rooms for our family, both Roma’s very dirty! Found things, kids toys, bracelet etc laying on floor in both rooms. The hallways are very dirty! We asked for cleaning services and were denied them! I even asked to check out and get money back and the desk staff refused. As I walked away she rolled her eyes and went back to her phone. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels, even this one in the past….NEVER AGAIN! The worst, please read other reviews I’m not the only one.
