Stayed for 1 night in February. Decent room and accommodation but hotel feels like it is in need of renovation. Arrived directly after a college baseball team was checking in but the lone front desk employee seemed extremely disorganized and frazzled. Needed an extra bath mat and no housekeeping staff available. Quiet and comfortable otherwise located right off I-435 and Metcalf Ave.
While this is a typical Hampton in many ways (clean, well maintained, average to below average pillows) the one thing that struck me was how quiet it was, had I not see people at breakfast would not have known there were other guests there. Also helps that it's well off Metcalf so don't get traffic noise especially if you get an odd numbered room which faces away from the road.
Very clean room and clean hotel overall. Breakfast offered good options with self made waffles, as well as hot options like French toast and sausage as well as standard continental fare, cereal, juice, etc. they seem to have a lack of front desk staff, but the ones we encountered were friendly and efficient. Overall, good value and would stay again if I am in the KC metro area.
My mom stayed there while my dad was in the hospital nearby. I made the arrangements for her from a different city and had to change the reservations a few times. Every time I called and talked to someone they were not only kind and helpful, but went out of their way to make things easier on us. My mom was very happy with her room while she was there.
Very nice stay. Charlotte at the front desk was very friendly and so helpful. Room was beautiful, spacious, quiet and comfortable. Close to many restaurants. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast fare. Parking lot was well-lit. Only had an outdoor pool.
We stay here every time we’re in the Kansas City area. It is in a great location, and close to everything we need. It is clean, quiet, and the staff is always friendly. They offer a complimentary breakfast that is always very good.
This hotel has a real problem with cars being broken into. My son was moving out west so his the car was full of valuable stuff. He took what he could into the hotel, parked close the front entrance in a well lit area and thieves smashed his back window and stole a few thousand dollars worth of stuff. The police and the front desk girl acknowledged this is not unusual. How about a few signs, a security camera or even a security guard if you know there is a problem. The Hampton Inn staff shrugged their shoulders and basically said, "Sucks for you." The hotel itself is fine. Room is clean, running water, etc...
Overall great breakfast wasn’t great that morning but normally is good. I’d recommend this Hampton and will be staying there at another time excellent choice for a hotel in Kansas City, Kansas 😴😃🌸👍
Nice clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast Typical as other hotels to get something in your stomach. This Hampton was a great value. Location was a little further than we wanted but hotel we booked in plaza district had a tent city next to it.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Will stay again. If I could make one suggestion it would to start breakfast earlier. But over all this is an excellent hotel. Beds are also comfortable. Property inside and out was very clean!
