Step back to the late 1800’s. Imagine a Victorian world set in a bustling Kansas frontier town, home to the United States Land Office. Hundreds came each day looking for a new home. In 1886 their first night’s ...More stay would have been at the Oberlin House, the St. James or other inns that rivaled their counterparts to the east. After claiming their 160 acres of Kansas prairie they were off to the brand new “Bank of Oberlin” to set up their banking business in their new hometown. Of the Bank of Oberlin’s completion, the Oberlin Eye (Sept.23,1886) said “…It is the prettiest building in the city and elicits words of praise from the many who see the city. Such buildings, beautiful, permanent, and durable are of incalculable value to Oberlin…And strengthen the onward march of the Queen City of Northwest Kansas.” Less

I stayed at the LandMark Inn for one night with my sister. It is probably the best accommodations for miles around, as we looked online and found little else available at any price! This old bank building has been meticulously renovated and carefully decorated with...More

We enjoyed this unique Inn. Gary is a friendly host. We were able to relax after a long drive and recharge for our next day's journey. The Victorian decor is amazing. The attention to detail which went into the 6-year restoration of this place is...More

My family and I stayed in the Carriage House Loft Suite - this was the perfect suite for us as there are two rooms with beds so my kids could have their own room! The suite was clean and spacious. We even had a sitting...More

My husband and I spent one night in the Courtyard Suite while we were traveling. We chose this room since it was on the first floor outside of the main building and had a hot tub. If we would have known better, we would have...More

Just a quick note that the guest complained about an overflowing toilet. Usually toilets are plugged because a guest used too much paper. This is a little out of Innkeepers control. The addition and old bank building restoration were built exactly the same time so...More

Travelling cross country, we stumbled upon The Landmark Inn. Gary was friendly, stayed up late to greet us and even reccommended a great restaurant 100 miles away for us to stop at en route! An historic property in a small town... a great find!
