Hairdryer didn’t work. TV was iffy at best. Never anyone at front desk. My biggest issue is that we had booked a handicap accessible room with two beds for my husband, elderly mother and myself. They changed us to a king room that was not accessible without alerting us at all until arrival. They justified the bed number by saying the sofa was a pullout. Still not accessible. They said the accessible room was out of commission. This has not been our first issue in getting an accessible room at this hotel. If you need a handicapped room look elsewhere. Could be a really decent hotel. Too bad.
Stayed 3 nites here for a reunion. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place is very clean. Breakfast is standard for such places with eggs, rolls and beverages. One caution for now - the whole bldg is being renovated so there are some inconveniences for now (and likely next few weeks). This morning over a dozen old beds were stacked in the main hall as we were trying to pack and leave. Would have been happier if they waited. So check ahead of time if you plan to stop there.
Very nice room. Even had indoor pool, which was great considering our long drive and the stormy weather outside that night. Comfortable beds, slept great. Very nice and accommodating check-in clerk. Very moderately priced, which Sr. citz always appreciate.
Had to stay due to a blizzard. Given double queen room. Beds very comfortable. I didn't want to go out, so I quickly got groceries to hunker down. Tiny TV, no premium channels, so limited hunkering. Hotel lifts microwave and refrigerator in every room. So I went to put my groceries in the refrigerator. There wasn't one. I checked at the front desk and was told that I was giving a handicapped room and therefore there was no refrigerator. I struggle to see the connection. Do they really think that no handicapped person whatever use a refrigerator? What they never go to a restaurant and want to keep leftovers cool? I don't see the relationship between being handicapped and not getting a refrigerator. So big disappointment on that front.
Passing through on our way south, I found this hotel online and booked a room based on the photos and location. Sure this place looks pretty good when driving up, inside is a different story. The desk clerk wasn't pleasant, just lacking any personality and seemed extremely bored, she did not explain the Wifi, found it anyway, no big deal. Yes the room we received was huge, but otherwise the towels were threadbare with threads hanging from them. The elevator has loose tiles that seem to move about when you walk in. The breakfast room desperately needs to have the floor cleaned. Your shoes stick to the floor when walking on it. Breakfast wasn't very appetizing and when I went to get a cup of coffee, it was empty. Out of coffee by 8 AM! No one was tending to the kitchen at all that I could see. Poor service, poor towels, poor floors, no coffee. Not worth the money, stay somewhere else. Overpriced about $40/night too much.…
