Alex went above and beyond to help us with our reservation! We came in a day early and Alex fixed it up so we did not need to change rooms during our stay! Alex even upgraded our room for us! Excellent service!!!!!!!!! The hotel is a short drive from Kansas Speedway, and biker friendly. This will be our first choice for future Nascar races in Kansas.
Yes, the rooms are small, but adequate for sleeping. The front desk staff were very nice and the pool was clean. This hotel is showing some wear, but for the money it is a good find! The room refrigerator worked great and was bigger than most. Breakfast was the usual (waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal and rolls).
The front desk was very friendly on check in. The rooms are small but ours was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel was pretty full the Saturday night of our stay and noise from the hallway could be heard in our room as there was a big gap at the bottom of the door. Sunday night was much quieter. All in all for the pice, it was a good stay.
What was originally a three night stay turned into a two hour stay. After checking and making it to the room I went to Walmart to buy cleaning wipes. The microwave had crumbs around it, the floor had crumbs on it, the table had something on it, as something is the most descriptive that I could get. Even worse, the bathroom tiles squished up water when you stepped on them. The front desk tried to move me to another room and the first thing I do? Step on the tiles in the bathroom to see if water seeps up. Water assuredly did come up from around the titles. To be fair, it wasn't a flood, by no means, but I don't want to stay in a hotel where I don't know if that is waste water, something seeping up from the ground, left over from cleaning or something else. Their so called renovated rooms just had a bad paint job and had no updates that any average person could tell. I had stayed in a number of Quality Inns in various states and I get it, they're operated and owned by different individuals, but this wasn't acceptable. When the front desk refused to refund the price to me I called the customer service line and about twenty minutes later was told to go to the front desk and I would be checked out without charge. I went to another Choice Hotel about seven minutes away. Do not stay here.…
Nice stay over the 4th of July. Yes, room was small but if just using it to sleep, don't need much room. Refrig & microwave if needed. Clean room and pool area (outside) was clean. Elevator if needed. Breakfast choices were various items, from waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, sweet rolls, etc. Easy on/off of the interstate; room was facing interstate but no traffic noise. Most of the people I observed older adults of retirement age. The staff I encounter were very nice and friendly. Observed the morning front desk staff print off a map to assist a guest in their visit of the local point of interest they wanted to visit.
