We were stopping in Manhattan on our way to a final destination and picked the Bluemont as a place to stay. The hotel has a very nice and inviting exterior. It is located right across from the KSU campus and Aggieville. Unfortunately, we were not really able to really take advantage of the location when we were there, but I can definitely recommend it for that.

As I've seen on other reviews, while the rooms are fairly standard to other hotels as far as the layout, they do have some extra space in them and don't feel as squished. Our room did not have a tub, just a walk in shower, which was perfectly fine. The decor of the room was pretty standard. The AC unit in our room had the option for constant fan, which is always appreciated!

The checkin process was painless and it was easy enough to navigate the hotel. One of my kids took advantage of the indoor pool. The hotel is pet friendly. We didn't use that amenity, but it was nice to know it was available.

The breakfast is fantastic! There are quite a few options, so many in fact, that we didn't make it through everything that was there. Everything tasted great, and because the breakfast area also has a bar that is associated with the hotel, the breakfast area is very spacious. Honestly, if I were in the area again, I would stay here again just for the breakfast! Not only do they have the standard fare of scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, (and the eggs are good, not nasty like at some places), they also had biscuits & gravy, a "breakfast scramble" with eggs, bacon, and potatoes all mixed in. There was also boiled eggs, vegetable breakfast burritos, as well as a waffle maker. I'm honestly not sure if they had cereal or not, but with all the other options, I didn't miss it.

I have very few complaints to be honest. The lamps in the rooms contained plugs in them, which was nice; however, the outlets in the lamp on the nightstand were very worn out, so much so that they would barely hold a device at all, so we opted not to use those. Also, the hotel provides parking, which is awesome; however, I will say that the hotel is very long from the elevators to the far end of the hall, where our room was, so it was quite a long walk. We were able to park near our room, but the door to get outside from the far end did not allow access back inside the building. It would be awesome if in the future, room card access would allow opening the far door from the outside. If you don't want to walk far, though, I would suggest requesting a room close to the elevators.

We just had a one night stay at the Bluemont, something that had been on our bucket list to do. We had a great time celebrating our sons birthday. Our double queen room was enormous-way bigger than I was expecting. Everything was clean and very comfortable with a cool view of Aggieville. The staff at check-in was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was delicious with a very good variety of choices. It was a bummer the pool was closed-we will come again another time for that. Great place to stay highly reccommend!

We had a very nice stay here, our 2nd visit to this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean and the customer service was impeccable. We had a small issue with the heating and air unit in the room and contacted guest services and it was fixed immediately. We also love the fully included hot breakfast with a large variety of dishes that is always full and ready by the breakfast start time. We also enjoyed the bar area one evening and it was a good experience as well. We had a couple of Bluemont Teas and an appetizer of cheese curds that was a huge serving and delicious. Again, this hotel has everything and we will be back next time in the area.

We had loyalty to the Bluemont, staying twice a year. The front desk staff works very hard and the breakfast is exceptional, including the workers. However, the last two times we have stayed, the cleaning of our room was poorly done. We left a ten dollar tip for the maid and she gladly accepted it. But, the room was not vacuumed, nor the toilet cleaned. At Christmas time (2023), our room was skipped over completely. We received a discount at Christmas after repeated communication that went unanswered for weeks. We decided to give it another chance, but the cleanliness was 2 star. What we have learned from this hotel...DO NOT expect communication from this hotel after you check out. Both complaints were ignored. Another guest checking out at the same time complained about the noise and was offered 10% off of her stay. Our situation was documented, but not acted upon. I'm wondering what the general manager is doing daily, that they don't have time to follow up with complaints? If you don't expect daily cleaning, enjoy your stay!

Good morning, I apologize for the delayed response. I appreciate you sharing your feedback with us. We take these concerns very serious. I am going to share this feedback with the Houskeeping Manager, so we do not have these issues in the future. We take the cleanliness of this hotel very serious, and we want each and every guest to have a clean room upon arrival, as well as during their overall stay. Please call the hotel directly so we can discuss a substantial discount for a future stay. We do value you as a guest, and want you to come back in the future.

This hotel was very easy to find, but that might be the best thing about it. We were told by the lady at the front desk that the pool was heated. It was the coldest pool I think I had ever been in. The bar area was cool, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. We were told we couldn’t do certain things, but then saw other people doing them. The bathroom light was also very bright. The room’s temperature was absolutely stupid. When I stayed here it was in a December, you shouldn’t need air conditioning should you? Well in this hotel it turns out you do. The room was so damn hot I couldn’t sleep. Then the air conditioning started working, for about 5 minutes. I then started sweating and got my entire blanket wet. The room felt like some hospital room. The bed was so firm it felt like trying to sleep on a bench in a park. It was one of the worst nights of my entire damn life. I will never ever stay at this hotel again even if they have said they fixed the problems.

We stayed 2 nights at the Bluemont and so happy we did.
I was given an excellent rate when I stopped in to inquire. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. I interacted with Crystal, Angelina and Jordyn.
We were impressed with how clean the whole hotel was, how spacious the room was, the central location is great too, yet it wasn't noisy from inside the room.
It's right across the street from Aggieville and and K-State - having 4 K-State grads it was nice to look out the window and see where all my checks with so many zeros went.
The continental breakfast was good with nice choices, good protein choices and not just sugary foods.
Even though we live pretty close by, we'll make it a point to come back and stay at the Bluemont.

During the recent ice/snow storm in January 2025, my family was stranded in Manhattan for three days. We stayed at the Bluemont Hotel during this time and had a great experience despite the situation. Specifically, the front desk personnel Alcy was very understanding of the situation and accommodated the stranded guests to the best of her ability. She encouraged the guests to congregate in the breakfast area and share our experiences. This action allowed the guests to learn about one another and bond over our shared misfortune. Since she was the only staff member able to make it in to work, she was wearing many hats and attempted to meet everyone's needs. Alcy was a bright spot in an otherwise difficult situation. We will definitely revisit the Bluemont in the future and appreciated the effort made by Alcy.

The service at the Bluemont Hotel Bar was exemplary. Our server Chris was attentive, friendly and engaging. The cocktail menu at the Bluemont Hotel Bar is creative and diverse, showcasing a range of classic and signature drinks. We tried a couple of their house specials, and each was thoughtfully crafted with fresh ingredients. Chris' knowledge of the various breweries and distilleries was impressive. They offered insightful recommendations and were quick to accommodate our preferences, making us feel well-cared-for throughout our visit.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

My stay here at the Bluemont Hotel was nothing short of amazing! As a school teacher, I take my students to K-State every year; however, this time I was able to provide the experience to my son for his first college tour at the school I once attended. I wanted this trip to be both nostalgic for me, and really special & for him. The Bluemont Hotel helped immensely contribute to those goals.

When I called & booked with Talerie, she was extremely sweet & patient and this same kindness & professionalism extended to the front desk upon check-in as well. Crystal & Halley helped me determine where to eat & what to do for entertainment, all things the Bluemont Hotel offered their guest at their convenience. This was major as I had never stayed at the Bluemont Hotel & wasn't privy to all they had to offer. The two women were very knowledgeable & took the time to answer all the questions I had, especially Halley who exhibited such a positive & personable attitude. It was apparent they were more than happy to help. Their suggestions were the highlight of our trip.

My son & I dined at the Bluemont Bar, inside the hotel where Chris was our bartender & server. I have never experienced service quite like this. Chris was a one-man show, yet he catered to everyone at the bar with such skill, elegance, & charm. He simply made it look effortless. I couldn't believe how attentive he was to my son & I, making us feel like royalty, while at the same time making other customers feel just as special. He even suggested a mocktail for my son who isn't old enough to drink, which made him included & the mocktail was beautifully delicious as well. And the food, the food was delectable! Everything we ordered, we enjoyed. While at the bar, Reese who worked at Goolsby's located further in the back next door to the hotel, dropped by to bar and also sang Chris's praises. After small talk, he encouraged us to come by after dinner to enjoy bowling. Reese was also kind, and professional, and it was clear he too loves what he does. I was so grateful for the recommendation as Goolby's offered such a good vibe and a great atmosphere for family time and socializing.

My son and I enjoyed the pool, the great parking which allowed us easy access to campus, & the overall phenomenal service the staff members provided, making you feel a part of the community. 10/10 easily! There is no doubt about it, moving forward, whenever I have to do an overnight trip in Manhahhat, Ks, I will be staying at the Bluemont Hotel as they have so much to offer.

Over Spring Break 2024 my husband and I, plus our daughter and her family decided to travel to Manhattan, KS for a few days of "Manhappiness"! Our hotel of choice has always been the Bluemont Hotel which sits on the corner of Bluemont & Manhattan Ave.
When we contacted the Bluemont Hotel we were introduced to Amie Armstrong, the Customer Service Manager. Amie was delightful, friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and Manhattan, KS. She has a welcoming personality and truly represents her job well! During this recent visit we were also introduced to Tracy, who is new to the Bluemont being hired over the last few months, she displayed exceptional customer service, conversational and attentive to the needs of the customer. Between Amie and Tracy, the front desk of the Bluemont could not be represented any better. They are an excellent team!

The Bluemont exceeded our expectations with the room accommodations, cleanliness of facility with an excellent cleaning staff. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast selections and setup and the atmosphere of the bar and lounge area.

The Bluemont is our hotel of choice and would highly recommend it to all of our family and friends! EMAW

Not at this time. We do have two promotions for basketball season. BBBQ for non-conference games, and BALL promotion for Big XII games. The football schedule has not yet been announced, but when it is we will have something listed on our website.
