Every two years, I spend a few days at the Lyons Inn while I'm in town for a family reunion. Lyons Inn is definitely dated. However, I found nothing there this time that would disqualify it from my list of suitable places to stay. An added plus this time--the Inn has changed ownership. The new owners are very kind, friendly... More

Front desk was very rude..smell of burnt garlic Asian food..smell was throughout the 1st Floor. Gagging..!! Room looked late 70s with hard beds..and uncomfortable carpet on floors. Bathroom was a normal Hollywood style cheap hotel. Scary..wont be staying there again..will go to Celebration Center east of town on Us-56. Or stay in McPherson or Hutchinson.

Like previous reviews, I was also in Lyons for a funeral. My stay was during Independence Day, the Lyons Inn was the only place with a vacancy. I stayed for two nights and I had a room on the 2nd floor in the corner. It was very spacious and seemed to be clean (I didn't want to look too closely!).... More

I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. As mentioned in the title, it was quite hairy. I do realize that it is not possible to clean a room so well that there is no hair, but the amount left was disappointing. There is also a serious shortage of outlets in the room. In order to charge a... More

Dirty with poor customer service. New management is lousy. Call and talk to them on the phone to see for yourself. Price changes when you check in. Bathrooms have mold. Furniture is out dated. Go to celebration Inn in Lyons

The friendly, efficient clerk who checked us in was the best part of the visit. Our non-smoking room had a definite odor of old tobacco smoke and the carpet was pitted with cigarette burns. Damage to walls-- a hole where door handle hits and a loose bracket for missing hair dryer, have gone unrepaired. There are inadequate outlets for charging... More

The desk clerk was informed and friendly. We'd been told no first floor rooms available unless there was a cancellation. Once there, we noted the motel had many construction workers in rooms. We look our age, but had to ask for the AARP discount to have $5 knocked off the room rate. We trudged up to the second floor to... More

This has been our "go to" place for 30 years for periodic family reunions. This year, our party booked 4 rooms. The rooms are dated but clean and include a refrigerator and microwave. The front desk staff was very kind and friendly. The maid didn't seem to hit every room every day; not sure why. Breakfast is good including scrambled... More
