I got the heart shaped jacuzzi suite and had to rinse the tub for 40 minutes before the soap residue was out. I shouldn't have to clean the most expensive room before I get use of the thing that makes it most expensive. Also not strictly the hotels fault, the recommended chinese place (moon wok) got me really sick. The biggest problem I had was fox news on at 900 decibels at breakfast. That's anti professional. Local news or weather if you absolutely must. Decisive, biased and depressing. national news is totally inappropriate for public spaces in the hotel. The clerk who checked me in was friendly and helpful (and did NOT say my room number out loud which is great, that's the quickest way to ruin everything with me) but I can't say the same about the morning one because I don't know if he's the one playing national news in the lobby and that's completely unacceptable . I would be open to hearing from a regional manager or corporate brand retention manager (not someone on a local level wanting to make excuses regarding the lobby tv). I booked using my choice privileges account and the contact info is there.…
We stayed here two nights. My wife had requested an accessible room on the ground floor because I have a bad knee. The layout of the room was not acceptable and the accessible tub was not a roll in, as would be expected, but it did have rails and there was a shower chair. We asked for a different room and were given a nice one on the 3rd floor, near the elevator. The lady at the desk was extremely pleasant and willing to take care of our request. The room was dated, as is the whole property. Our room was a dark mustard yellow, not really a pleasant color. The toilet seat was very loose, but when reported to the desk it was taken care ilof immediately. The window screen needed to be replaced, but we didn't have a need to open the window. The fridge was cold but the freezer needed defrosted. We didn't try the microwave. The bed was comfortable, the linens and towels clean. The towels could be bigger. The pool/hottub area was clean, but we never used it or the exercise room. Breakfast was OK, though I'm not a fan of preformed egg patties and what tasted like turkey sausage. There was a variety of cold cereal, pastries, waffles, bisquets and gravy , and various juices. Even tough the building and rooms are dated, we found it clean and comfortable. The service was outstanding. The price was a bit high for the quality of the room and building, but it was, all in all, a pleasant and comfortable stay. We'd stay here again. …
The hotel was a little hard to find, but once I found it, it was pretty good. The room was nice, there was a pool and hot tub, there was a fitness room, there was a washing machine and dryer, and there was one heck of a good selection for breakfast. The room had three chairs to sit in and nice big end tables on either side of the bed. The bed and pillow were actually pretty comfortable. One thing I didn’t like about the room was that it got very hot in the bathroom while I was taking a shower, and I literally almost passed out. I tried to turn on what I thought was a fan, but it just turned on another light. Another thing I wasn’t overly excited about was that there was a sink in the fitness room, which was a nice touch, but there was no soap for it. The laundry room also had a gob of dust or lint or something all over the floor. I also opted to not use the vending machine, even though I kind of wanted to, because there was an intimidating sign on it that said it wasn’t operated my the hotel, and no employee could give you a refund if the machine ate your money. The hotel had some of the best orange juice I’ve ever tasted; Usually I find that orange juice at hotels tastes watered down. About the only thing that the hotel didn’t have for breakfast was pancakes. One other thing, I’m not sure where the railroad is around the hotel, but I heard a train when I was first trying to go to sleep; it didn’t bother me too much, though, because I live fairly close to a railroad.…
We stayed in a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. We arrived just after 9pm on a Friday night after a 4 hour drive. The check in lady was very warm and helpful. We went up to our room and looked around to make sure everything was ok. Then I saw the sofa bed mattress and couldn't believe what I was seeing. There were 2 large stains underneath and holes where the springs were showing. The stains were various shades of dark red and brown so who knows what they were, I hate to think. It was late and I didn't want to get involved with this so we left it until morning to report it. In the morning I showed the pictures I had taken to the Manager and he told me he would see what he could do. We went out for the day and when we came back I checked the mattress. It was the same one but someone had tried to scrub one stain clean. They didn't leave the mattress to dry before fitting the sheet, so the sheet soaked up what was left of the stain. Not pretty. So I carried the mattress down to reception and told the whole story to the guy. He promptly swapped it out with a clean one and a set of clean sheets. Not once in this whole process did I get an apology or anything close. When we checked out the following morning the Manager wouldn't look me in the eye when I told him I was not happy with the mattress situation. While still looking at his computer screen he told me that I would have to go through Hotels.com as that was how I had booked the room. This is the worst customer service I have had at a hotel with the exception of the lady on the Friday night who was very good. I will not be returning to this hotel nor could I recommend anyone else does.…
