Got a very good rate when I expected a much higher rate. However the value for the amount were about equal and maybe just a little on the high side. It’s obvious the place is being renovated. Many apparent defeciencies: like no hotel specific information, heat in room 109 non-existent, unable to contact front room, crown facing seems about to fall. The bed was SO comfortable with many huggable pillows (helped not miss my man so much (LOL). Room heat was 64 degrees only improved when I turned the machine off. Discovered the unit was blowing out good air even though I had up the temp to 80! Many tv channels but the remote really needs to be upgraded because there is no easy way to get to a specific channel without running through every channel to find the one wanted. The only book in the room was the Bible. There was nothing telling about anything about the area where the hotel is, no tv listing, no church listing, no letting people know Oak Park Mall with Macy’s, Dillards, JCPenneys, etc. Restaurants available? No info!…
We have stayed a La Quinta's for years in many states, this however is the worst we have ever seen. It was unclean, the staff did not wear masks, the room was more a motel 8 room then La Quinta, the breakfast was nothing but bad coffee w/a bad muffin, there was a barefoot bum outside the main entrance the entire time we were there (I was afraid to let my wife go out alone) and we had called before to ask if the construction was complete and was told it was it was not. The grounds were littered with trash. Do not stay if you want a nice room, you will not find that here.
We stayed in room 329. They are in the process of renovating rooms here, and our wing was done. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The gal at the front desk was very helpful. (name....Ola?) It's super convenient to the highway, and getting us down to the Plaza quickly. They offered giant muffins, individually wrapped. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Room had a microwave to heat up our muffin. And for the rate, we were very happy! Would stay there again!
Staff is great. I’ve gone here and so has my co-worker 4 weeks in row. We have dedicated truck route that ends up placing us in Lenexa, KS sat-tue and I don’t hesitate to keep coming back. Excellent value and works for us!!
The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. However, I could not sleep because it is so noisy in that hotel. You can hear people talking and laughing, tvs blaring, outside noise and plumbing all around. I can't wait to get home this afternoon so I can get a better sleep.
