I’ve stayed in this location twice. Once in 2018 and again this year. It was dirty both times, but what a surprise I had this time - no shower head. How does that happen, and no one notices. The lobby isn’t on the ground floor, so you have to take an elevator up to the second floor to check in, and then the rooms are all on the third floor or higher. The blinds are all or nothing. So if you don’t want to be an exhibitionist, you have to keep them closed, but then you have no sunlight. You can’t turn on the bathroom light without it illuminating the bedroom area because of the cool translucent wall between the two areas. This place is a mess.

We recently celebrated our honeymoon here and the Hotel and Staff were amazing, accommodating every request I had to make this night special for us. The hotel allowed me to add a friend to my reservation so they could decorate the room, provided food/drink options and even put a bottle of champagne in our room chilled waiting for our arrival. We were upgraded to a suite on the second floor which was very spacious and even included a large balcony that we had a drink on. Our room was perfectly located next to the hotels XYZ Bar where the bartender makes great drinks, bar stays open till 12am. After that we met a few friends at "Ra" a restaurant located next door. Thanks so much for an amazing night. Cant wait to come back for our anniversary next year. Hotel and Staff have 5 star service in a great location with entertainment all within walking distance... Thanks again!!!!…
I stayed 3 nights with my teenage daughter. Super nice staff, great location (right next to Town Center with many great stores & restaurants and easy driving to Country Club Plaza) & nice modern rooms. We will be back!
I recently stayed at the Aloft in Leawood while visiting KC. The hotel is set up very strange, the hotel is on the 2nd floor. You enter the hotel between 2 restaurants. Once we found the lobby there was a loud party on their balcony which continued until 10pm. The room itself reminded me of a dorm room, I will say the shower was probably top 3 in hotels I have visited including the Marriott in downtown KC the night prior. There is no complementary breakfast and the parking can be a little bit of a walk to the garage depending which floor you are on. Would I stay at the Aloft again? Probably just for the shower it was awesome by far made the stay, every thing else I could live without it.
I like the modern decor of Aloft hotels. I also find the layout less cramped than some other major chains, just because of the room design. I was fine without a pool and if it was warmer weather I would have liked to sit on the cool second story deck. I would stay there again. We do always request a room far from the elevator to cut back on foot noise.
