I stayed here in July of 2015 after leaving Boracay for a short trip to another island in the Western Visayans. They have everything on site that you would want such as food, drinks, they even have a small store to rent DVDs. We stayed in a remove above their on-site bar/slash karoake area. Very accommodating, staff was very nice. I do no speak the local dialect but a number of staff speak very good English so that was cool. Felt like the price was fair and if you wanted something, like any vacation, you pay. Not sure what the guy below is talking about but it seems pretty standard to have to pay for chairs and tables if you want to throw a party. At least in America that's how it works.

Bathrooms had no doorknobs, no TV, no WiFi, very hard bed, low on cleanliness and every move you makes takes a lot of cash, from the entrance fee, to chairs, tables etch. was all accounted for, not a good place to stay and I would not recommend it. Will cost you a lot of money for something not worth it.

Hello there! We apologize for any inconveniences during your experience at our resort. We are thankful for your feedback. Our intention at Batang Peninsula is to make sure that all your needs are met and that your concerns are addressed. We do not currently have resort-wide Wi-Fi, this is true. However this is not due to our not having tried to make this possible. As you may (or may not know), the Philippines has the 3rd worse Internet speeds in all of Asia. Getting internet at Batang has been a challenge we have been trying to overcome for several years. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience, but we also find that many of our out-of-country visitors appreciate being able to live a bit more off-grid by not having an Internet connection. We will continually do our best to try and offer Wi-Fi in the future. We also understand that it seems as though every move requires money. We believe our prices are fair for the amenities we offer. We hope you and our guests understand that this is not an all-inclusive resort. Many other places also require an entrance fee. As a guest, we also hope that you understand that these fees are necessary due to damage caused by guests to the resort property. It costs us a lot of money to repair and maintain everything that is damaged, to keep the resort clean, and to build better amenities for our guests. Unfortunately we cannot offer many free things as we still have a business to run. Thank you for staying with us. The Peninsula is a short trike ride from Himamaylan City for about 15 pesos. They have a convenience store with almost anything you need. Available places for shade, small cabins and 4 "hotel" rooms with air named after California cities. Nice beach where the kids will be all day. Gentle slope into the water. New Years day brings Binlaw, begun by the owners/hosts Mr. and Mrs. Alex Menez including entertainment and prizes. Stay all day, bring food to cook and enjoy, talaba(oysters) are available at many locations, just ask and eat. If you are a karaoke or videoke freak head into the city for some fun. A couple nicer local restaurants can be found, HanKen and Oasis, both on the National Highway offer some very good entrees and nice cold fruit shakes. If you need more then the local stores offer Kabankalan is about 30 minutes south and has a Gaisano mall,, with Jollibee and Mang Inasal, groceries and department store. Across the street is a pretty decent pizza place, not easy to find away from the larger cities.
