At Netherfield Natural Farm, our goal is to be a self-sustaining place for visitors who are looking to have a rural agrarian experience on their vacation. It’s like “farm to table” but better — the table is right on the farm. Breakfast is always included with your stay, but you can add dinner to your overnight stay. Breakfast is served at 8 am and dinner at 7 pm. Check In is 3 PM and Check Out at 11 AM. You can also choose to extend your stay (early check in or late check out) for $30/room. In the 1882 Victorian farmhouse we have two large bedrooms (one king bed, one queen bed) with private bathrooms, and two smaller (full bed) rooms that share a bathroom. Our working barn includes a 3-room suite Loft, with queen bed, two bunk beds, and a family room with balcony. There is no bathroom in the Loft, but it is just 100 feet to the full bathroom just off the kitchen. Outside, there are wrap-around decks, covered porches, balconies up above, and a large in-ground pool with a sun deck, patio area, and fire pit to enjoy.

Detailed Reviews
This is a true country gem. Scott is a master chef, so if you get the opportunity to have dinner, accept the invitation. The farm is quaint with a network of walking trails and plenty of other opportunities. Enjoyed the country drive too.
It was our first trip out after the pandemic and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

My stay at Netherfield Natural Farm provided a very relaxing retreat before a hectic new school year. I had time to read, sleep, and enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast each morning. I also included the wonderful gourmet dinners for my little getaway. The food is so fresh you can see the garden from the house. The homemade bread each day was a special treat. If anyone is is need of a relaxing weekend in a beautifully restored farmhouse and the wonderful company of great hosts, this is the place to visit.

Brought my daughter along so we can both get some peace and quiet away from the city, work and stress. It was perfect here! We spent 2 days playing board games at the pool, sitting on the porch, walking and talking. I could have stayed a week. The house is so beautiful and every room is unique. We stayed in the Jesse & Rhoda room which has its own little deck and a soaking tub. Breakfasts were delicious. I wish we would have taken advantage of dinner but drove into Paola instead. Next time I'll do the home cooked dinner.

We had an incredible stay. It was so peaceful on the farm. The food was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Owner was very kind and helpful. The scenery was breathtaking inside the house and out. We stayed 4 days and plan to stay again next year.

Named after the famed novel Pride & Prejudice, the farmhouse was lovely and comfortable. Chickens, ducks, cows, calves, two pryinese pup and one big beautiful turkey greeted us as we pulled up. We were only there for one night. Our hosts, Scott and Matt, cooked us an awesome dinner and breakfast. Beautiful views of the country side.

Two of us are from Europe but for last 25 years have lived in the States. Traveling is our hobby. Scott and Matt’s B&B is the best B&B we have ever stayed!
We have come all way from Indiana (10 hour drive) just to spend one night here (based on the perfect scores for this house) and we are so pleased we did it. Everything is perfect here: Matt and Scott so pleasant and interesting; their dogs and kittens adorable, hens so beautiful, home made food perfect, house decoration so impeccable and trendy with the owners’ attention to the smallest details... It’s the perfect house of two intellectuals. We felt like being somewhere in the New England. It’s a magical place.

I've had Netherfield bookmarked for a couple of years and kept going back to look at it. After showing it to my husband who read the perfect reviews, he said "Let's book this!" Scott quickly responded to a couple of questions that we had and we made our reservation. Netherfield Farm is a three hour drive from our home in Wichita. Even the drive through the Flint Hills and the sparsely populated area was enjoyable.
One of the questions we asked was if we could arrive a little early to enjoy the pool. Adelle, the Great Pyrenees, and Scott, warmly welcomed us and invited us to check in when the time came. We really enjoyed the beautiful saltwater pool complete with flotation devices, provided beach towels and lounging chairs. We had friendly cats keeping us company there. It's an oasis surrounded by beautiful flowers visited by hummingbirds, and trees provided us with a shady spot to watch the chickens and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the remote location.
The farmhouse is comfortably decorated, and is clean, warm and inviting. There was a bar with a mini-fridge in the dining room for us to keep our wine. Ice, tea, and lemonade were available at checkin. We stayed in the spacious and sunny William and Edna room with its own private bath. Our room was immaculately clean. The king-size bed was comfortable and there was a large flat-screened TV. Earplugs are provided as Adele is a vigilant watchdog and the chickens announce the morning at sunrise, but we actually reveled in the sound of "country".
The nearest restaurant is quite a drive, but that's just fine with us, as we were excited to book our dinner right there at the farm. Our food was outstanding. Beautifully prepared, fresh and seasoned perfectly with as many ingredients as can be procured either right there at this working farm or locally. Everything from scratch and the homemade bread and pasta was supreme. It was a treat to be joined at dinner by the owners, Scott and Matt, and hear the tales of how the farm came to them. Although, I typically don't eat breakfast, I'm glad I didn't pass on this one. It was delicious! I appreciated that Scott brewed me up a pot of decaf coffee. There was not one request that went unmet, as Scott and Matt went out of their way to make our stay delightful. The lighted pool torches and burning fire pit lured us back to the pool area where my husband and I enjoyed just relaxing under the stars on a perfect peaceful night.
If you want a glimpse of country life with premium food and great hosts that see to your every need. You will love a trip to Netherfield Natural Farm. We can't wait to go again!

Some friends and I recently booked the entire property to spend a night away celebrating and relaxing before a wedding. The farm was literally perfect! The property is stunning, and so much care and thought has clearly been put into making each detail welcoming and hospitable. The food was remarkable, and somehow the property functions as a working, rural farm while still being astoundingly clean and approachable. Adele the pup is a literal queen. And who doesn't want to end the night floating in a pool while looking at the stars?

We loved all of the fresh and delicious food we were served at the farm. Beautifully prepared and presented. Every little detail was perfect. Such a comfy and relaxing place. The fire pit conversation at night, the sweet sounds of chickens, the clear Kansas sky and big trees by the pool all made for a most delightful and restful family retreat. We loved the pasta and bread making class! Yum! The extra bed we had was blow up and it was comfy as well. Thank you for letting us bring our dog and for all the special touches!

First time for me but multiple previous stays for my friends. Thoroughly delightful. Scott and Matt were terrific hosts. We arranged a wine trolley to tour us through local wineries. Danced in the barn afterwards. Breakfast was amazing.
