Turned up cold and wet at 2100 without a reservation yet was welcomed with open arms ! Food was superb , fantastic host ,nothing was too much trouble, really comfortable bed, and the breakfast was the best I have ever had, good quality local produce, would definitely recommend a visit or better still an overnight stay!

After a planned cycling trip along the canal was cut short, rang up and was very helpful. The big room was available sleeps 4, but there was 5 of us. That was no problem at all. They even cooked food for us after the kitchen had closed. 10/10 very good.

We stopped her for (sadly) just the one night whilst cycling from Bristol to London on National Cycle Route 4. The pub is less than 1/2 mile off the route and is well worth the diversion. Warm welcome from Lincoln and in fact all of his colleagues (who without exception were charming and very helpful). Lovely comfortable room with excellent... More

The warm welcome from the landlord is just the same as our last visit, the food and quality of beer are still superb, our room looked to be recently refurbished. The location ensures a good nights sleep in a peaceful rural location. Overall a great pub that deserves to do well.

My wife and I had dinner here one night last week and then stayed for dinner bed and breakfast the following Saturday. This is a quaint, country Inn, thatched roof and full of character. Staff were warm and welcoming, and the en-suite accommodation proved to be first class. The food on both nights was excellent, with some more adventurous items... More

A good stop on National cycle route 4. They were happy to store our bikes in a locked shed out sight and the weather. We had a large room with a great view over the fields opposite and use of a large, well equipped bathroom which we seemed to have to ourselves. A good evening meal and a freshly cooked... More

I cannot praise the Seven Stars highly enough. The location in the heart of rural Wiltshire is perfect but very accessible from major routes in the area and is on a national cycle route (sees previous reviews) There is ample car parking and the actual appearance of the pub is "Chocolate box". I visited the Seven Stars last week and... More

As you will have gathered from other reviews, the Seven Stars is literally on the National Cycle Network route 4, the Kennet & Avon Canal route. A stay at the Seven Stars should be a highlight on this spectacular route. You get a large, comfortable room with great facilities. There's secure storage for bikes - and, of course, parking for... We chose the Seven Stars as a good stop-off point cycling from Reading to Bath on Sustrans Route 4. Accommodation and food were excellent but what stands out just as much is the warm welcome and service from Lincoln and the whole team - nothing was too much trouble -storing bicycles - no problem in the locked shed -people checking-in... The Seven Stars Inn was a welcome surprise after cycling all day. Luck was in and we were able to stay two nights, the room was spacious, clean and we were more than comfortable. Experiencing the proud chefs amazing pub food which edges on gourmet and not the usual pub fare made the whole stay memorable. Standing alone in the country... More
