This was a perfect place for us to spend a night to break our journey from Scotland: just 15 minutes off the A1M, a lovely "home from home" outside a quiet village with stunning scenery all around. Sarah, the owner, greeted us warmly and treated us to tea and cake in the guest lounge by a roaring log fire. Our room was warm and cosy with a very comfortable bed and lovely modern en-suite shower room. Everything was spotless, but homely, and we felt completely safe Covid-wise. Our small dog also felt relaxed here, and was made welcome. Our stay was crowned by a delicious home-cooked and filling breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah, and she would be a great source of advice on local walks. We would highly recommend a stay here, and hope that we will be able to return for a longer stay. Thank you

A memorable highlight of our walk along the Six Dales Trail was our stay with Sarah at Firs Farm! After a wonderful day walking we were met at the end of the day by Sarah and whisked to her gorgeous farmhouse. Everything was absolutely perfect....the pot of tea with home-baked bakewell tart served by a roaring log fire was a treat and our pretty room was sumptuous, so comfortable, with a hot shower, wonderfully comfortable beds and we had a simply beautiful view framed by the window. We had booked for an evening meal which was delicious and to top it all Sarah was the most perfect host. Thank you....absolutely 100% recommended!

One word sums up this B+B which is PERFECT. Sarah is a fabulous host as nothing is a bother.evening we arrived we were shown around.to our happy surprise was the sitting room with a nice warm fire for when we arrived.the views from our room was breathtaking.the bed was one of the most comfortable out of the many places we stayed at.the farm house is immaculately clean from top to bottom.i tell you Sarah cooks up one smashing breakfast with fresh local produce with there own fresh eggs.what tops it off was seeing the new born lamb's in the sheds.richard had his hands full in the middle of lambing season.he took the time to show us round to see the newly born lamb's.this B+B is a total breath of fresh air. Thanks so much Sarah and Richard for making us feel like one of the family.

Stayed here on various occasions and cannot recommend Firs Farm B&B warmly enough. Lovely hosts, immaculate rooms, fabulous breakfast and in quiet countryside. To top it all my dogs were welcome too. I hope to find an excuse to visit again!
