We stayed 2 nights on the way from Ambrym to Port Vila via Epi. Tasso is extremely hospitable and had organised a vehicle to pick us up from the airport. He was very involved in the Independence Day festivities and for lunch and one night we had to eat at his family stall. Great for local interaction, not so good... More

We had a 2 night stay arriving by air at Lamen. Our room was clean and private. the food was amazing, new watermelon being picked post Cyclone. Take own alcoholic drinks and snacks. There is a small shop nearby....limited items.. ..but good. Cold water only...but clean toilet/ shower facs. 2 days was good there.

We stayed at Paradise sunset bungalows for 5 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. Tasso was in Port Vila so we were looked after by his son Douglas and wife Elsie. They were so amazingly warm and hospitable, and really made our stay very enjoyable. The food was outstanding, even so soon after the cyclone when fresh food was in... More

My wife and I and our kids, 12 and 13 years old stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas 2014. Tasso and Legon made us fell so welcome and took us to a very special carolling night at the local church, and to their community Christmas lunch. Their very reasonable prices include a fantastic breakfast and dinner, cooked by Legon... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and without it our trip wouldn't have been the same. It is easy to go to a place like Vanuatu and stay in the main resorts but miss out on the culture! Staying with Tasso's family was great. Its a peaceful place to stay, the roosters and dogs are the most rowdy thing you... More

If you want to go to Epi Island, which is a very beautiful Island especially the part of the Island called Lamen Bay, you will stay at this place. It's affordable, it's a nice place to stay, a beautiful family will take care of you, and you will have the honor to eat a nice traditional cooking. The bay is... More

I phoned ahead and was met by Joshua as I walked off the Cargo ship that stops at Lamen Bay (Tina 1). He took me to the bungalows and showed me my room. I've had better, but at the end of the day it was a bed and it was clean (i've had much much worse). I was fed a... More

If you are contemplating a visit to Epi island then logic would dictate that you know most of this already... Epi island on Vanuatu is not your average tourist destination, you dont go there to relax by the pool and order pina colada's on your room. Epi island is a third world island where living is at its most basic,... More

We have stayed at a few Ni-Van owned / run bunglaows over the past 3 years and they have all been of a great variation in standards and facilities, but always we expect them to be what I'd term as basic - similar to camping, but with a solid roof over your head. Paradise Sunset Bungalows are older and as... More
