Revisited the black horse inn over the easter weekend with my family and it was as wonderful as when I went there previously. Having a young child I don't get the opportunity to dine out much these days but the staff were very welcoming as you arrive in the bar area and the food was delicious. A few changes to...

Stayed here with my partner and 10 month old. What a lovely place, very quaint. It's like a warren inside with lots of little rooms...i did get lost a few times. The staff were helpful and friendly and we had our table set out for breakfast every morning with the highchair which we thought was a lovely touch. The atmosphere...

Another great meal at The black horse. The bar and restaurant were both very busy but the service was still very good. The food was excellent as always. The specials board had some lovely dishes on it. A friend we were with asked to change some elements of his dinner because he didn't like the veg that was going to...

Tucked away in a small village, full of hops, tables secreted in little alcoves with steps everywhere - unusual! Big car park, very busy for a Wednesday, lots of "specials", food nicely presented, sizeable portions, well cooked, service nice and friendly . All in all a nice meal out though perhaps a little more expensive than elsewhere . We just...

I had not had these before so didn't know how they should come. The came on some toasted bread with a mushroom sauce over the top. Upon eating the...

Stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast. Lovely room, friendly, attentive staff and food to die for! There are dog friendly rooms available so we'll definitely be returning with ours. We highly recommend.

Visited this establishment last night with my boyfriend, his son, my 2 daughters and my dad. Due to my mother being very poorly the mood was not great but our spirits were soon lifted by very polite and accommodating bar staff and great food. Varied menu with something for all. The pub also has a takeaway menu. Do bear in...

Been to the black horse twice. Both times we had a lovely meal. Surroundings and decor are nicely done with lots of old pictures are the pub and it's surrounding areas. The food is delicious on both occasions. My only criticism would be the chocolate brownie sundae, there wasn't much flavour other than the clotted cream. Everything has been great....

Had lunch here with our son and his partner. The food was great. I can recommend the buttersquash risotto the plaice. The pub is also very atmospheric with hops everywhere and the beer is excellent. Will definitely eat here again.
