Called on the way home from Manchester airport, couldn't book in advance so took the scenic route home to find somewhere inviting for Sunday lunch. Found the Beehive Inn nearby who thankfully ushered us away! We then discovered the Fleece Inn, how different, they couldn't have been more welcoming although extremely busy and it's easy to see why! After a...

Lovely pub and surroundings but food wasn't great fillet steak smelt cheesy almost as if it was off? Staff were friendly but food is definitely over priced for the quality. Such a shame because I've heard great things, maybe it was because it were the start of the week

Can't praise this place enough! Great Yorkshire welcome, fantastic food, reasonably priced, and lovely clean and well furnished rooms, what more can you ask for? Cask well kept beers (according to my husband) however it's the well kept wines that do it for me!

Having eaten here a year ago we decided that we would book an overnight stay on our return to the area. We booked the King-Ensuite-Double - Double Occupancy. As can we seen from the pub's website the room layout is unusual but it was just fine. The only challenge was the designer taps; I'm used to having a challenge to...

We stayed at the Fleece as it was very close to our family. Very small room and en suite but clean and comfortable with a good view and OK for a night. Very pleasant staff who were friendly and very helpful. We were joined by our family for an excellent breakfast with good service. Decor quite stylish but with some...

My husband & I stayed here on a Thursday night, food was perfect! Had the grill deal where we received two rib eye steaks cooked to perfection, nothing was too much trouble & we felt very welcomed. Accommodation was spotless & we will be booking again.

Great service, amazing food, comfy atmosphere.. Make sure you book! They do a market fresh menu that is excellent value for money and delicious too! I love the soup and Sandwich option as the soup is divine and it arrives with crispy fat chips and a gormet bloomer sandwich filled with ham hock and piccalilli....mmmmm delicious

Arrived by accident! Set off to visit Holmfirth when we had a week staying in accommodation in Cragg Vale - Old Cragg Vale Hall Barn, but lost motivation on dull rainy day! So visited old haunt in my teenage years - Fleece Inn. Great meal & wine choice, friendly staff, tasty food . Interior a great deal different from my...

Basically from what i seen it is a hall/large room decorated tastefully with tables and chairs. The eatery has a large window looking onto the countryside which is pleasant if you like that type of thing. Outside is a large outdoor seating area to enjoy the views. Food was above average and the prices was reasonable enough. If this place...

We booked here for our Christmas Day meal because of previous visits where we have enjoyed exceptional food and service. It was a nice meal but just little touches missing we felt. The stuffing and Christmas pudding looked as if it was mass produced and it did feel rather rushed. Overall food was good but didn't enjoy it as much...
