Overall very run down but great potential for a rustic getaway without a tent or van. Cabin was clean enough inside -ensuite but no tea or coffee making facilities or fridge. Outside looked neglected. Common areas in lodge adequate. Communal kitchen filthy - fridges and bbq revolting, overflowing bins, mice, dirt, and animal droppings. Long way from anywhere but OK...

We stayed here for one night in a tent. We got a warm welcome and some nice talks on the bar. We played billard and loves the view into the stars in the night! The area is so big and has a small place for the landing of airplanes as well. Some dogs and cats are also always around :)...

As others have described, the place is rustic but clean and serviceable. The hosts are great and would do anything to assist. We used it for a base for walking and climbing in the nearby Grampians. The rooms sleep up to 6, the camp kitchen has everything you need. The lodge has a nice wood fire and a couch with...

Stayed here on an overnight tour in the mountains. Technically speaking, it has everything you need (except wifi) although it was a bit rustic. Kitchen is mostly outside and it was cold. Bar is nice. Property is huge. I'd only recommend to someone who loves outdoors and camping.

Driving up to the property there are kangaroos nested nearby in the paddocks. The owner, Steve, is a very friendly guy. The cabins are basic but clean. I stayed in the 'pilots' cabin that looks out towards the airstrip which I awoke to a brilliant pink sunrise in the morning. Steve offers quad bike rides but I didn't have the...

I stayed at the lodge as part of a three day Bunyip tour of the Great Ocean Road and Grampians National Park. The lodge was wonderfully serene, and our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The lodge was small yet comfortable and clean. It's great for a serene walk with lovely scenery. They also have a few Australian Shepards on...

We stopped at this place for one night in February 2014 and it was not a pleasant experience. though the hut is reasonable to look at from the outside it was damp and cold inside, the heater air con did not work. The room was dirty with cob webs hanging from the ceiling, the beding was damp and water to...

There are not a lot of airfields in the Grampians and this was a welcome stop for a group of 6 recreational aircraft touring this magnificent part of the Grampians. The airstrip is fairly well hidden, but once you find it it is quite serviceable (albeit a few rabbit holes on adjoining areas) and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We tied...

Driving up to the Lodge, down the long dirt driveway our guide pointed out kangaroos and a wallaby that were quite at home on the rugged landscape, which was a fun introduction to the place. I stayed there one night as part of Bunyip's three day tour (so I can't comment on cost, as it was included in the tour...

This lodge is perfect for anyone who is cash conscious but will not compromise on cleanliness and comfort. If you do decide to stay here, you will also be treated to that rare and special hospitality that can only come from special people. My husband and I booked a private cabin, which really was lovely, Steve and Caroline had already...
