Oakwood Inn's beautiful setting and welcoming atmosphere are just the beginning of a fabulous B&B experience! We loved the very comfortable, spacious room we had and really enjoyed the access to the deck, where we could sit and appreciate the vivid late autumn sunsets and sunrises, and bird watch! An additional plus is immediate access to the nature trail right outside the front door with your choice of length of walk. Bridget and Bill provide many thoughtful amenities, such as a coffee station that offers coffee, teas, hot chocolate, plus fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies. Their breakfast is outstanding! Endless hot coffee refills, fresh fruit, a delicious baked treat every morning and a substantial main course protein that sustains you for hours! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would highly recommend Oakwood Inn for a lovely stay in the Iowa Great Lakes region.…

I wish we would have taken pictures. When you walk in, the dining room is on the left. It is beautiful and comfortable. The room was spacious and had a hot tub. The bed was comfortable. Looking outside, there is a patio that you can walk onto from your room. The breakfast was delicious! Homemade greek yogurt, scones, and egg bake. Coffee, orange juice, and apple cider was also provided.

In room fireplace, whirlpool, patio overlooking nature preserve with turkeys, deer, birds singing, luxury bedding- all perfect. Excellent service and breakfast was delicious with beautiful setting. most romantic stay I have ever had.

We were on a color tour in NW Iowa and stayed at this wonderful B and B. We could not believe the setting, landscaping, wildlife ( be sure to see the Moose?). The rooms ,service and breakfast are all you expect from a premiere B and B. We will return and recommend for an outstanding experience.

Quaint B&B, VERY quiet. Very tasty breakfast. The grounds are fabulous. Great water feature right outside my room, four wild turkeys getting a drink of water that morning. Bridget is helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again, miles ahead of the hotels.

We had a lovely stay at the Oakwood Inn. We travelled to the area to do some bicycle riding and stayed at the Inn. Awesome facility with wonderful service and delicious breakfast. They even let us store our bikes in the garage. We will definetly be back.

Wonderful experience The property is beautiful, rooms well appointed and breakfast delicious. The building is well-designed with many extra amenities. It is centrally located to provide easy accessibility to all Lake Okoboji and Spirit Lake offer. We highly recommend it.

The Property was beautiful. The homemade Breakfast was delicious and the Owners were very accommodating and friendly. Easy to find and close to restaurants and activities. Also nice to have a walking path adjacent. Would highly recommend when visiting Okoboji!

I stayed at The Oakwood Inn most recently in August, 2023. The room and breakfast were fabulous as always. Bridget told me I have been there 5 years. However, the most impressive area of my overnight stay was the care and attention I got from both Bridget and Bill. They seemed to anticipate all of my needs and dealt with them. They made me feel so special. I always leave there feeling pampered and relaxed. Way to go, Bridget and Bill. You are awesome. See you in 2024..
