It is a motel that needs a lot of maintenance, cleaning the door, changing the ceiling tiles in the bathroom. uncoggled the tub, etc and please put an ice machine is the minimum in any accommodation. The lobby attendance are friendly but ineffective

The room looked ok when first walking in. Very dated bathroom, shower curtain for the bathroom door. Tub area didn’t look good so I didn’t take a shower, bottom of shower curtain was gross looking 6” up the curtain. Towels are well worn. Toilet seat needed tightening. Glad I found a tiny bar of soap to use. No glasses supplied to get water although there were 2 paper cups by coffee maker. No extra chain or lock on the door. A bit grungy looking on trim work and walls. No lights on nightstands so you’d have to get out of bed to use lights. No working ice machine.

We spent one night here on our way east. It was not pleasant and we won't stay again. We had a 2nd floor room. While it was "remodeled" it still lacked. No hair dryer. No bath mat for stepping on when getting out of the shower. Shower dispenser not labeled so couldn't tell what was shampoo vs body wash. AC unit was incredibly loud. Lighting in the room was awful. Bed was rock hard. There were sand buckets outside each room for ashtrays. Door lock was a punch code that failed after one attempt, had to get the manager to let us in. No security lock, chain or bolt on the inside. Door didn't automatically lock; you had to push in the button on the knob. Weird people hanging about in the parking lot sitting in lawn chairs next to their vehicles.

Listen to others who have given bad reviews! This place was awful and felt unsafe to us. We selected this campground because it’s right off the highway and we only needed one night. What a mistake, we should have listened to the other reviews. There are run down trailers with trash outside in black bags surrounding the camper. One trailer looked like it had ferrel cats hanging around. It looks like several “campers” use this as their permanent or semi-permanent home. Several unfriendly individuals with big scary dogs. We never used the bathrooms as I would have been scared to walk out to them by myself. (Call it my instinct but I’d rather be safe than sorry). There was a “key” for the water like someone else mentioned and we never used it either. I think the owner tries as there was a note in the office about people picking up after their dog, the grass is being cut but a lot more maintenance is needed.

This is a VERY weak excuse for an overnight stay. The first clue was the owner told us to back up a 37' RV w/tow. Next we picked a spot and were told to use the "key" to turn the water on - it was already flowing freely on the ground. Then the unit next to us had a tarp for a roof w/a tire holding it in place.

Would not recommend this place. A rest area on the interstate would be a better option.

This place is a total dump. Everything was filthy dirty. The inside and outside of the door was gross. The bathroom sink had not been cleaned. Dirt around the base of the toilet. Don't know when the last time the windows were cleaned. Could not see out of them. I guess that is why the drapes were closed when we got there. Only one light in the room which had a VERY low voltage in it. I guess that was intentional so you can't see the filth. We slept with our cloths on. I should have looked at the reviews here on Trip Advisor first. I based my decision on the Google reviews. BIG MISTAKE. I usually always go with Trip Advisor reviews and I don't know why I didn't this time. We should have slept in our car instead and would have saved 80 bucks.

cant speak for the RV park, except to say that some of the spots were in a parking lot behind the motel. didnt seem much like camping to me but maybe fine for those staying. we stayed at the motel in room 6 which had been recently renovated and was nice enough for a somewhat budget price, and clean. i have no issue with dated or unmatched furniture as long as the room is clean and furniture is functional, and bed is decent. but the bed was a giant lump of foam or something, not fit to sleep in from a comfort perspective. also only a thumb turn lock on the door, easy to bypass if someone wants in, no deadbolt or even a chain lock. this was especially unnerving because it appeared that there might be full time residents (not extended stay), and in my experience there is a lot of non-resident traffic at places like that. the grounds of the motel looked like a dated trailer park, junk and trash lying around everywhere. a work in progress is one thing, but disregarding the presentation of your place makes one question what else is disregarded. would not stay here again and would not recommend.

We stayed from April until August in the park while my husband worked in Omaha. We have been doing this for 4 years and travel all over. This was the best so far! Such a friendly atmosphere, everyone gets to know each other. We felt like family with the owner and staff! We will definitely miss this place and will return if ever there again! We had to stay in the motel while waiting for repairs on our Travel Trailer and it was so nice! Felt like home! The new rooms were comfy and the colors comforting! We wish y’all the best!

I want to say that this place has improved since all the negative revues. I stayed one night due to truck breakdown.
This hotel is in a small Iowa town. Don't expect 5 star accommodations. A simple, clean, safe room for a night or two is fine.
Carpet is new, paint looks new & done well.
See it for what it is folks.
Get some rest, a cup of coffee and be happy.

Pros: easy access from the highway, no issues with power or water. gravel sites.
Cons: the RV park was built between 1940s-1950s which doesn't allow for slide outs. The park appears to be unsafe with abandoned RVs parked within the area, disabled school bus that was occupied.
