By far this has been one of my most memorable experiences. Imanta resort has a beautiful private beach, beautiful pools, and so much privacy. The staff was amazing, very friendly, helpful, and always going out of their way to make your stay pleasurable. I would stay at Imanta resort, over and over again!
My wife and I celebrated my 40th birthday with a 3 days getaway at Imanta. We had tried to come for a very long time but it was usually sold out. Maybe it was COVID but we finally were able to get a room. You get the idea from pictures on their website or other reviews, I probably saw hundreds and it doesn’t match the experience. We stayed at a Jungle suite with pool, Nasisa, goddess of the moon. It was spectacular, and you get it until you are there. No angle is left untouched by architectural poetry. Edgar, Abraham and Nestor were accommodating to every single detail prior our arrival and during the stay. We arrived early as we planed to play golf at Litibú but the course was closed due to a very heavy rain that hit higuera blanca the night prior to our arrival. We were welcomed 3 hours prior to check in time. Had lunch at the beach and we saw the incredible work that was in progress to restore the beach to a paradise status. We were disappointed due to the impact of weather conditions but were determined to have a good time, so we dodged the buldozer’s noise by going away from the beach in the resort. Our room was ready at 13 hours and we secluded into our private paradise. Our incredible and unique experiences went like this: plunge into our small private pool to refresh from the beach. (It was cool and refreshing) then a bath of hot water at Limestone bathtub with salts and bubbles garnished with incienso de copal and finish off with an outdoor shower in the middle of the jungle. I had higher expectations of food having tasted the creations of its former chef Olivier, now Saint Regis CDMX. But it was overcome by a very welcoming and devoted service during every meal from Imanta’s staff specially Jazmin and Kirwa. It is a very high maintenance resort which justifies the high price due to the limited guest rooms available. Great for introspection, love, deep conversations, time in couple and experience a very fine architectural work of art intertwined with nature at its best. …
Imanta seems greater than it is. The hotel is beautiful, the suites too. We stayed at the suite named aye (meaning turtle) and had some issues. The room is very pretty, but there is no hot water. The sounds of the sea and jungle are great, but for those who can’t sleep with too much noise, I wouldn’t recommend it. The beach is great, the sea is too; but the service is poor; you need to search many times for the waiters. The food is good but not great. Overall it was a great experience, but we felt that the price was to high for this. We have stayed in Punta Mita before; while imanta is not located in punta mita, is located at higuera blanca; i would recommend you to stay at punta mita. Imanta is a different experience and a very pretty one, but in our opinion it’s not good value for money. …
I had many issues at Imanta. To give them some credit - the nature was wonderful - I enjoyed the beach, and the jungle, and the fresh catch of the day. I could have enjoyed the spa - but the bulldozer working on the property made it impossible. I left the resort earlier than the scheduled date - and there were numerous reasons for it. To name a few: There was a motor humming somewhere next to my casa at night. There was a bulldozer fixing the property during day. There were no locks on the doors - just flimsy latches easy to prime off - and local people loitering around the casa and picking into the windows every day. The English speaking staff was not readily available - so there were times when I had to ask the fellow tourists to translate my orders for me. The room service was more than 1 hour wait - when they cared to deliver it at all. Their driver was texting to her friends non stop while taking me to the airport . And many many more smaller inconveniences. And - there was no way to correct all these issues - they had their excuse for everything. All of these may be perceived by some as cute and culture specific - if I was not paying $1500 per day - which is in my opinion was so super-overpriced that I was left speechless, and still am, and regret every single dollar I spent at this resort. I wish, there was a disclosure ahead of time - so I could have made an informed consent to endure it. I would definitely not recommend this resort to anybody.…
