I always try to stay here when I am in town. The rooms are updated and roomy. The staff is friendly and the amenities are good. It only gets 4 stars because breakfast is cereal, starch, and reconstituted eggs. Nothing homemade!

Room Tip: rooms are all quiet except when the band plays. Then it's best to stay on the street side....

My husband and I stayed while visiting family for 2 nights. Staff was gracious and helpful. Facility while dated is very clean and grounds were very well maintained. For small town Iowa, this hotel was very nice. However dining room is closed Sundays and Mondays. There are a few resturaunts nearby, and a grocery store down the street. Rooms do have a fridge and microwave. Pool and spa were nicely maintained and we enjoyed sitting in spa after 1700 mile trip.

Checked into the Red Coach Inn in Red Oak, Iowa. There is two hotels, Roadway and Red Coach. Thought I would go for the non-brand name. People at front desk are friendly and the hotel is located close to the main highway and several restaurants. I arrived early and was allowed to check in around noon. The hotel is somewhat dated, but adequate for a stay. Internet is free and you do not need a code. The hotel has a free breakfast, just fruit and pastries. There is a restaurant at the hotel, but I decide to go out for lunch and dinner. While getting reading to iron a dress short for tomorrow, I discovered that the iron is bolted to the ironing board. I am a titanium member with Marriott and Diamond member with Hilton-meaning I spend 250 nights a year in a hotel. I have never seen anything like this before!! LOL Guess they think someone is going to steal an iron. To make matters worse, the iron is bolted on the end of the ironing board where you would drape the shirt for ironing. I don't know what to do but SMH! Since there is such a limited selection of hotels of hotels and if you don't need to iron a shirt, the Red Coach Inn may be the best choice.

My wife and I were in town for a funeral, so made a reservation here. The staff was exceptionally pleasant, the room was spacious, breakfast was better than the standard complimentary breakfast people get used to. There is an adjoining bar and restaurant.

The Red Coach Inn provided clean, comfortable rooms. The rooms are larger than most moderate priced motels. The lobby is spacious and attractive. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast provided was adequate, but nothing special. If you are headed to Red Oak or Southwest Iowa, this motel would be a good choice.
