The owners Tracy & Marvin were so accommodating.
Since we were there in an ice storm they offered their garage to us. Which I felt was over and above. I must say that the photos do not do this place justice.
The bedrooms are so much larger and comfy then they appear in the photographs. Everything was so clean and absolutely spotless.
The breakfast they offered was just like a breakfast in a 5-star hotel only better.
I haven't stayed in that many B&B but this is the best one so far.
If we ever come back to Ottumwa we would definitely be staying here again.

We have stayed with Tracy and Marvin several times now. Every time we are in the Ottumwa area for work, we forgo the hotels in the area to enjoy a very clean and warm and inviting stay at the Oak Meadows Bed and Breakfast. Each time we are warmly greeted as family. Tracy makes sure we have everything we need, from fresh coffee waiting for us when we awake in the morning to a made to order breakfast. Why pick the B&B over a hotel? It’s simply better! Pristine conditions, quiet, fresh food, and a lovely staff every time! We will always choose Oak Meadows for our choice of stay and would admonish all others to experience a “better” way to relax!

I just stayed at Oak Meadow for the first time and it was beautiful. Tracy and Marvin have really detailed the amenities to a very high degree. My room was spotless down to every detail. By detail you might even notice the hanging chain to the fan in the lodge room has a micro-mini light bulb to discern the fan from the light switch.

I stumbled upon this place when looking for a place to stay in Ottumwa and what an absolute gem! The hosts, Tracy and Marv, were so nice. The entire place was spotless (made us feel extremely comfortable during this time of COVID-19), our room was exceptionally comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The grounds are stunning with a beautiful koi pond. If you're ever in the area and even if you live in the area and need a staycation, I highly recommend you stay at the Oak Meadow Delight Bed & Breakfast. I promise you won't regret it!

I have stayed at the Oak Meadow Delight B&B several times. Everytime I'm there, it's like a mini-vacation. All the rooms are delightfully furnished and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are homemade and SOOOO delicious! The grounds are meticulously manicured, and the backyard oasis is open to guests. I always look forward to sitting outside, watching the koi in the pond, and hearing the birds. It is so relaxing!
Tracy and Marvin are wonderful hosts who make you feel right at home. They have a wall hanging by the door that says "May all who enter as guests, leave as friends". That says it all.....
This is by far, the best place to stay in Ottumwa.

Oak Meadow Delight is truly a delightful place to stay. Tracy is a wonderful hostess. Our room was so comfortable and clean. The whole property is peaceful with gorgeous gardens to view and relax in. Tracy has taken care to provide many extras for her guests - ie coffee and tea, a full refrigerator in addition to a mini fridge in the room, and comfortable areas outside of your room to relax in in with others. Breakfast was delicious and filling. She even setup a coffee maker near our room to have freshly brewed coffee before breakfast. We stayed in 6 B & B's on this trip and Oak Meadow Delight was definitely the best accommodations. It was unexpectedly beautiful for the price we paid.

My husband surprised me with this truly wonderful B&B on our Genealogy trip around the area. So much so we ended up staying an extra night! The warm and inviting hospitality of Tracy and Marvin and "The Lake View" room made us forget we were traveling. I have never been somewhere where I felt pampered from the comfortable bed to the wonderful hot breakfast waiting in the morning! Make sure you enjoy the wonderful quiet surrounding outside by the Koi pond as well! We will definitely be repeat guest when we travel thru the area!! Thank you Tracy and Marvin!!

Found a delightful gem while visiting Ottumwa and highly recommend.
Easy book in started with Tracy, who is a gracious host and a good cook. There's outside door codes (late check in, late night, etc.), and she responded quickly to text messages to arrange times and a personalized time for breakfast. The location is easy to get to in a good part of town (north side). Since everything in Ottumwa is "10 minutes away," you can access everywhere easily.
The place is beautiful with great landscaping and a pretty koi pond with miniature waterfall in the back for relaxing. The inside is massive (Tracy can explain the history), decorated to feel like home.
Stayed in both the Madison and Marie (they're almost mirror images of one another), wonderfully comfortable king beds and modern bathrooms. At breakfast time, Tracy had a single table (was solo) for me all setup with drinks, and each day she prepped a wonderful breakfast.
All in all, it's what a B&B should be!

Oak Meadow is a beautiful "hidden gem" in Ottumwa. Tracy and Marvin are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to see that our family gathering was a success! We rented all four beautiful guest rooms and enjoyed a scrumptious full breakfast each morning of our visit. We held a holiday meal for 15 in their lovely Harvest Room in early December. The Christmas decorations throughout the Bed & Breakfast definitely gave the feel of a "Hallmark Movie." We loved our stay and look forward to staying again any time we are back in Ottumwa. Our family highly recommends the Oak Meadow Bed & Breakfast as the top place to stay in Ottumwa.
