#1 of 4 hotels in Montrouis
A site of Paradise along the Côte des Arcadins, one hour's drive from Port-au-Prince's International airport.Moulin Sur Mer, an 18th century sugar cane plantation, magnificient and unique in its Colonial architecture, combines the charm of a picturesque past and the modern comfort of a beach resort of international standard with 68 rooms, where you can relax and enjoy a unique vacation in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. We recently added Marina Blue, a dry dock boat and jetski facility with all kinds of amenities for nautical sport lovers. We also added Zile Soley, a private island connected to shore with a bridge from which can be used for sun bathing, private events such as weddings, parties, cocktails and dinners. You'll also enjoy from Zile Soley one of the most spectacular sunsets.

This was back in 2009, so I hope they still have this court. They also loaned us the Ektelon racquets and ball. The location of the resort is ideal. Everything was first class and the service was great too.

Beautiful space. Great room. Amazing beach and pool. Friendly staff. I visited Moulin Sur Mer every other month while living in Haiti to have a relaxing night away. It was also such a peaceful time and just what I needed.

This hotel was fantastic. We made a last minute switch and it worked out well. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, the room was comfortable, the food was decent, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. We toured the sugar Mill museum and did a boat tour with marina blue. All in all this was a great weekend getaway for my husband and me.

The property is beautiful and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. We were there to take part in SCUBA Diving activities. I was advised to book online, which I did. My booking was a discounted "Pre-Pay" amount and I pre-paid for the four rooms I needed. Receipts were printed and contained the advisory "This is a non-refundable booking, full amount will be charged upon reservation." When my group arrived for check-in, I was advised that the hotel does not make the charge until check-in. So, I had to open laptop, take screen shots of my credit card statement and email them to the front desk. I will say that the front desk agent was very professional and courteous.......no problems with staff interaction. In the end, some of my rooms were pre-paid and two were not. On check-out, the invoicing was confusing and only partial coverage. I would strongly recommend that the facility take a look at the confusion created with these inconsistencies. I do not appreciate all-inclusive facilities and prefer to order what I want. This is not the best approach at Moulin Sur Mer. Half of the menu items were not available and our four days were spent eating salads and pizza. However, I will say that their lunch and dinner buffet looked very good and in the future, I will choose to go the all-inclusive method with Moulin Sur Mer. I will definitely return to Moulin Sur Mer. The staff was outstanding and the location is beautiful. I was able to relax and enjoy a great SCUBA diving experience and the awesome facilities.

Thank you so much for your review. We're sorry for the inconvenience and have already taken measures to advise our reception department, which had obviously taken improper steps to handle and charge your reservation. The Optional All-Inclusive package is certainly not meant for every one, which is the reason why we make it optional and not obligatory. We understand that some people prefer to order on the go what they want. It is the reason why we maintained our previous non-inclusive offer and added this new package which we call the Moulin-PAK, for those who want all three meals pre-included at a nicely discounted rate (which in reality only costs them $17.50 taxes included), together with a bar drink package of $15/day which is credited to their room account at the end of their stay. This new approach allowed us to please all guests from all trends, while still preserving our customary premium quality on meals and drinks. This might not usually be the case when you go an all-out Fixed All-Inclusive resort. We thank you once more and hope to see you soon again.

The beach is great, nice and clean and kept up. Good size with plenty of things to do. But the hotel is somewhat crude and antiquated. No carpet, just tile floors and open ceiling. The doors are old wood doors that could easily be knocked in. Power was intermittent, so A/C was hit and miss. For the price, I would expect at least constant power.

Thanks for your review. Carpets are never used in Haiti as they collect lots of dust or sand particularly in a beach environment. During the early days of July, we had to run the generator intermittently since the political situation created a hardship on us with les than 10% occupied rooms. It was a matter of survival since our energy cost represents 30% of our operating cost.

MSM is a special beach resort in Haiti with its colonial architecture and its museum that must be visited duting the stay. The food is great and the price is among the best. Highly recommended for a calm family weekend at the beach.

Thank you so much for a wonderful review. We take great pride in what we do and are extremely thrilled to have clients compliment us for it. Don't forget to give it a try to visit our underwater sculpture next time you visit us. It is a challenge in itself at 30' depth but our trained personnel at Marina Blue could help you reach that objective :--)).

I go every year with my family, it's always like a family affair. Friendly staff, good food and fun Troubado on Saturday night. Don't worry, they have food for everyone. Rooms are very clean, mini golf. The museum help you understand Haiti history better if you don't about it. Musee Ogier Fombrum.

Thank you so much for a GREAT REVIEW!!! We need these encouragements, these days in particular, when it is so complicated to sustain a high level of service, in such a harsh political environment. We certainly hope you'll be coming back to visit. In case you were not aware, we recently installed our first sculpture, named Mami Wata, which will be host our very first Underwater Cultural Museum in Haiti. It will kind of repeat the history depicted by the Musee Ogier Fombrun, to our divers and snorkelers that come to visit us. We hope to see you back in our Paradise!!!

Greetings and thank you for your review. We must unfortunately go with the flow these days since occupancy is not at its best. Even if buffet is not offered all the time and depends upon hotel occupancy, we pride ourselves to offer the best meals on La Cote des Arcadins which we hope you appreciated. Buffets are replaced with A La Carte orders even with the Optional All Inclusive Moulin-PAK. Concerning internet, we do offer it property wide for free. We had been improving the system in past days and had some brown out occurrences during some periods of the day. Maybe that explains why it was only available to you around the reception. We're sure that you will enjoy the new system performance which is now up and running great even better than before and covering most of the beachfront, pool side, most rooms and gardens. Thank you again for taking your time to review our property and hope that we'll see you again soon.
