The Red lion is a great pub / hotel but the best thing about the place is the staff, they are fantastic and really make you welcome and nothing is too much trouble. There were 7 of us and we had booked in for a weekend break. The rooms were of a chalet / motel design and were very clean... More

Always wanted to try this place but just never got round to going so tonight out of the blue we said let's go. I was pleasantly surprised by the choices on the menu and our starters did not disappoint. Unfortunately I got so excited at the sight of our mains I forgot to take a picture but the portions were... We stayed in the rooms at the pub as they were doing the catering for a family funeral. The staff were so kind and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a good one. Nothing was too much trouble. They also did as much as they could to take as much of the stress away from... More

My husband and I stopped on for dinner and we were warmly welcomed by a woman behind the bar. She made it nice and easy to order by opening a tab and then we looked at the amazing selection of food on the menu! Although it wasn't extensive, the choice of food was enough. We both ordered pie and whilst... More

Stayed here for one night in June as we were attending a wedding in Branston. The room was a little musty at first but comfortable with a large, well equipped and clean shower room. The breakfast was good and the pub is a nice friendly country pub. I would recommend a stay here if visiting the local area.

My husband and I went to dinner off the cuff and it was fab. We both had a big steak with all the trimmings and it was perfect.. Both cooked exactly how we asked. The staff were friendly and happy and my husband said his real ale was really good. Highly recommended.. If there is sticky figgy pudding on the... More

This is a brilliant country village pub, the food is out of this world and you get great portions, the service and staff are 2nd to none. always lots of things happening on their themed menus. Looking forward to their Bands and Hog roasts and staying in the B and B, Would highly recommend and will definitely return with friends.

Me and my partner visited here for the carvery after good reviews about the food, upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady who showed us to our seat, when going to order drinks (ourselves) it took a while and when it came to our turned to be served we asked for a j20 and a tea, sounds simple...
