I needed a motel for one night at the last minute due to a scheduling error and was able to find this sleepy little place. Not fancy and no frills but my room was clean and comfortable and the right price for a last minute find. The owner?/manager was very gracious and accommodating. The nearby restaurant, maybe the only one in town, was good too.
Needed a place to sleep for the night. Very charming owner. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. When leaving in the morning, owner came out and asked how our stay was. She is a very genuine person.
Needed a place to sleep on my way back to Wisconsin from Colrado. Worried about virus so I wanted to stay in a small town. Room was perfect and only $47.00! 70's style for 70's price. Delightful owner. I will be back. Peter
We came here because, driving at night in the rain, it was the only motel around. Our room was very modest, particularly in terms of decor. The price is similarly low: We paid only $53 including tax. The hostess is exuberant and memorable, for us perhaps a little too effusive for our comfort. This is important: do NOT expect the uniformity and amenities of the modern box hotel at most freeway exits. For one example, the locks on the doors are modest indeed, with a key like my house key, and no bolts or other means to hold the door shut. It opens to a hallway with an unlocked door to the street, that doesn't pass the front desk. Nothing bad happened, but given some of the things TripAdvisor reviewers complain about, it seemed best to give a realistic review. Would I stay here again? Perhaps, in similar circumstances of "any port in a storm," Otherwise, not. But on our top 3 hotel criteria, it was fine: Water pressure, wifi signal and no sag in the bed. So, overall, it was OK for a quick no-frills stopover.…
The room was awesome... the lady who runs this place is so nice, she went out of her way to make sure we had all that we needed.. being a diabetic I needed to freeze my ice pack and she showed me where I could store it for the night.. would definitely stay again..
I enjoyed my stay very friendly and clean. The staff was very helpful. Room was cool and comfortable. Bowling alley and restaurant around the corner with great food and service. This is small town iowa at its best. About 2 miles from I-80 in the town of Minden
I stopped tonight at Midtown motel it is nice rooms clean reasonable price. I enjoyed the quite safe town and the motel hospitality. We were in a business trip concert to MO. I will always stop at that motel in the little town.
Ou. Stay was pleasant. The room was nice & cool & clean. The lady running the motel was sweet & pleasant. I recommend this motel with no hesitation. Also, the the town is so quaint & cute! We enjoyed our stay.
So here's the deal, when you weigh all things into consideration, I'd rather stay here and rest my head for a night then pay upwards of $200 in Omaha. it was getting to be late at night, my wife was on the phone with me back at home and try as hard as she could she couldn't find a decent affordable place anywhere near Omaha. I pulled off to gas up in Minden and saw the sign for this hotel, I called and found out that they were available and if the price was right. It was a quick 2 mile jaunt into town. Yes, the place is a little dated, but that just adds to the charm. The sheets were clean the bathroom was clean, and the lady that runs the place is very sweet. and so if you're like me and you just need a nice place to rest your head this is the place.
My mom and aunt we're stuck and this motel felt like home to them I am more then thankful for the women's who runs it's hospitality she was so kind and sweet and willing to go above and beyond to help too old ladies in a tough spot
