Thank you, Denise, for the filling country breakfast. My daughter and I enjoyed many walks on your driveway and soaking up the country side. The view is beautiful. Thank you for our special accommodations.

We stayed for 2 days in the lower "apartment" unit. It was a spacious area, with comfortable furniture and beds, basically a finished basement with large, east facing windows and sliding glass doors leading to a nice patio with a fantastic view of the coulees and Mississippi River. The decor was country Christmas. Somewhat dark towards the back rooms, with... More

We came for a family mini vacation and my wife found this place what a nice place and great owners! We would definitely come and recommend again! The scenery is excellent and close proximity to most of the sights in the area is very nice. Breakfast was a great home cooked meal if you leave hungry it is your own... More

We visit the Mississippi River each fall and chose this area for our adventure last year. We staying across the river near Wyalusing, WI for a couple of nights and then stumbled across this bed and breakfast on our way to Pikes Peak State Park. We stayed in the lower level suite. The view from the patio just outside the... More

We stayed at this B&B on a recent weekend getaway. We stayed in the lower level suite, which was very spacious (for a family of 3), comfortable, and quaintly decorated. Our room had a walkout patio with a fireplace (unfortunately, it was raining while we stayed) and we had an unobstructed view of the Mississippi. This B&B is located a... More

We stayed in the loft bedroom (king & queen beds) and private bath which is perfect for a traveling family. There is a tv and table/chairs area in the loft also for all guests to use. We slept well on the very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious and served family-style. We were able to see the horses up-close in the... More

We stayed in the loft: two beds with an attached bathroom. The rooms are pretty basic (don't expect antiques) but clean and comfortable. The view from the porch is magnificent. The host, Denise is a sweetheart (in that quiet Midwestern way), who wants you to enjoy your stay; plus she cooks a great breakfast! This is a working ranch so... More

This is 3 miles out of McGregor, IA. The log home has great views of the Mississippi from the outdoor patio on the back. The first floor bedroom is a bit small, the bathroom shower and tub shared space with the laundry but was clean. There was a loft area on the second floor- with a small table and games.... More

A holiday weekend away from our nearly-grown kids was a first time away. Used it as our base point for touring the historical and natural sites near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. We had the upstairs loft suite with a living area, television, and outdoor porch to watch the river. The breakfast was typical farm fare...eggs, bacon and sausage, fried potatoes... More

We spent 2 nights here at the end of a 2-week vacation through Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. The location is outside of McGregor, just south of Pikes Peak State Park. There is an awesome view of the Mississippi from the deck (see picture below), and it is very quiet. They also allow guests to bring and stable their horses. The... More
